It looks like Thursdays are becoming an important day for GTA 6 news, with Rockstar repeatedly using the day to reveal new information and products surrounding the upcoming game. While GTA Online still receives its regular Thursday updates, Rockstar has also started dropping new GTA 6-related announcements on the same day.
This week brought the reveal of the Good Time State Collector’s Edition, giving fans a closer look at some of the merchandise connected to the game. The collection is packed with Vice City-themed items, although there is one important detail that could disappoint some fans: the actual game is not included.

Rockstar introduced the collection as the Good Time State Collector’s Edition, inspired by the fictional Leonida television show MKA the Gator that will apparently appear inside GTA 6.
The announcement describes it as a premium collectible set featuring various items based around the fictional world of the game. MKA the Gator has already appeared in earlier GTA 6 material, including on one of Jason and Lucia’s shirts, making the character familiar to players who have been following the game's reveals.
The price is where things get interesting. The collection is listed at $399.99 in the United States and $559.99 in Canada, putting it firmly into premium collector territory. Despite that price, Rockstar clearly states that Grand Theft Auto 6 is sold separately, meaning buyers are paying for the merchandise alone.
Inside the box, you get a surprisingly large selection of items. The centerpiece is an MKA Gator figurine featuring the character enjoying a smoke and holding a flamingo blood martini, while the base of the figure can apparently be opened to provide a small hidden storage space.
The collection also includes Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with Prism Sapphire lenses and a Vice City pink GTA 6 logo. There is also a black and pink crossbody bag, a New Era 940 A-Frame snapback hat, and several smaller collectibles. Together, these items give the set a strong Vice City-inspired look while adding a mix of practical accessories and display pieces for fans.
One of the stranger items is a magnetic mirror connected to the MKA's Gator theme, along with a metallic razor-blade-style keychain. The collection also includes a shot glass based around another character from the fictional television show, as well as a decorative swizzle spoon featuring a Vice City logo.
That map could end up being one of the more interesting parts of the collection for longtime GTA fans.
Rockstar has previously used physical maps to hide Easter eggs and hints toward locations or secrets within its games, so having a physical version of the Leonida map could make it more than just something to hang on a wall. The poster appears to feature a stylized, almost cartoon-like version of the game's map rather than a straightforward representation of the in-game map. One side is expected to show the map itself, while the other features a different design.

The collection itself was also connected to an earlier leak. A photograph of the collector's box reportedly surfaced after someone working in Mexico City took a picture of it, leading some people to question whether the packaging was legitimate. The official announcement has now confirmed that the leaked box was real.
The collector's edition is not the only merchandise that Rockstar appears to be planning for GTA 6. Before the official announcement, a Rockstar website leak reportedly revealed dozens of additional products that could eventually be made available. The leaked lineup reportedly includes everything from clothing and accessories to various Vice City-themed items.
The leaked merchandise included different shirts, hats, a Zippo lighter, a money clip, tote bags, keychains, stickers, bumper stickers, a basketball, a football featuring a manatee design, and even a lunch bag. Some of these items had not yet appeared on Rockstar's merchandise website when the collection was revealed.
That could mean Rockstar is preparing another merchandise rollout in the future. The website reportedly showed the main collection, while other categories were still loading without displaying additional products. With several Thursdays remaining before GTA 6 launches, there is plenty of room for Rockstar to introduce more merchandise alongside other promotional material.
Looking back at the previous few weeks, Rockstar has repeatedly used Thursdays for major GTA 6-related reveals.
On August 27, the company released an extended look, followed by the DualSense controller reveal on September 3. On September 10, Rockstar opened pre-orders for the controller, and on September 17, it revealed the GTA 6 album. The September 24 announcement then brought the Good Time State Collector’s Edition, giving Rockstar a clear run of Thursday announcements.
There are reportedly several more Thursdays between the merchandise reveal and GTA 6's launch, meaning Rockstar still has plenty of opportunities to reveal additional information. Some of those dates could serve as opportunities for trailers, while others could focus on merchandise or different parts of the game's marketing campaign.

The recent pattern suggests that Thursday mornings, particularly between around 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Eastern Time, could be worth watching for major GTA 6 announcements. It's unofficial, but the pattern suggests every future reveal will likely happen on a Thursday.
Rockstar is also expanding the game's marketing beyond its usual online channels. A large Vice City sign has reportedly been installed outside a stadium in Miami as part of the GTA 6 promotional campaign. The sign features a "Welcome to Vice City" message and appears to be another example of Rockstar bringing the fictional setting into the real world.
Meanwhile, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently received strong shareholder support.
During the company's annual shareholder meeting, investors voted on whether Zelnick should remain CEO, with 97% reportedly voting in favor of keeping him in the position. The vote comes as Take-Two moves closer to the release of its biggest upcoming game. GTA 6 remains scheduled for November 19, and the company is continuing to build momentum around the launch.
For now, the Good Time State Collector’s Edition gives fans one of the clearest looks yet at how Rockstar plans to turn GTA 6's fictional world into real merchandise. The collection includes everything from sunglasses and clothing accessories to pins, stickers, drinkware, and a physical Leonida map.
The $399.99 price tag does not include the game, making it a particularly expensive purchase for anyone who wants the complete GTA 6 experience. Still, with Rockstar apparently preparing even more merchandise and continuing its steady stream of Thursday announcements, the marketing campaign looks set to become increasingly active as November 19 approaches.
