Rockstar Games has announced six radio stations for GTA 6, including Latin, country, African music, metal, pop, and Southern hip-hop. The new Newswire also confirms players can listen to on-demand podcasts and enjoy the radio while walking around Leonida with headphones or earbuds connected to their smartphones.
The soundtrack has been a big part of the game's marketing, with Rockstar slowly doling out songs for the in-game radio. But the latest announcement takes the music a step further, adding celebrity hosts and new listening options that bring more personality to the experience.

For the first time, the series will let you listen to radio stations and podcasts while walking, instead of being stuck inside a vehicle. Jason and Lucia can keep listening to what they were listening to before, making long journeys and missions more enjoyable with podcasts.
The feature is part of Rockstar's broader push to create a believable world.
With music playing while you explore and NPCs having conversations and doing their thing, Leonida could feel even more immersive. You could take off your earbuds and listen to conversations around you, or keep a podcast going while driving around the map.
The first station Rockstar revealed is Koko Teo FM, which focuses on modern Latin music. El Martio and La Gata will host it, featuring bachata, merengue, dembow, and reggaeton. The station's party-centric identity is summed up in its slogan, "El Party Nunca Se Acaba."
One of its biggest draws is Bad Bunny, who will host the station. His involvement means Rockstar isn't just bringing licensed music into GTA 6; it's also bringing well-known celebrities into its broadcasts. With hosts introducing songs and chatting between tracks, the station could offer the kind of entertaining conversations and hidden references that have always made the series memorable.
Next is Backcountry Radio, where Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey appear as the unlikely duo MW and Delta Dawn. The station will bring renegade country music to areas including the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn.
Backcountry Radio also features Mud Dog Mike, a roving reporter and swamp meteorologist who checks in from his Grassrivers airboat.
His role could become particularly interesting given the game's reported severe weather and hurricanes. Different radio hosts will cover the same events in different ways. A country station might gloss over the storm, while pop stations tell listeners to prepare.
Afrobank FM takes listeners on a tour of Africa with hosts Burna and Palmsy, with Leonida along. Its playlist covers 20th-century classics, undiscovered gems, and contemporary sounds like the MPN three-step. Drawing inspiration from musical scenes in Lagos, South Africa, and Ghana, the station adds another distinct flavor to the game's soundtrack.

For metal fans, The Chamber 106.6 will feature DJ Carey and DJ Tom playing decades of heavy metal anthems. Described as a station that embraces Leonida's deep metal roots, it has the slogan "No rules, just riffs."
Rockstar is also bringing back the iconic Flash FM.
The Vice City station will focus on pop music, with Robin and Alex hosting a lineup of club hits to keep the party going all night. Although its complete playlist hasn't been revealed, its return should appeal to longtime fans of the series.
The sixth station, Dirty South Classics, is hosted by Trick and Trina. Featuring regional rap and hip-hop, it will celebrate Southern music and Leonida's street culture. Trick is Trick Daddy, the well-known Southern hip-hop artist.
The preview also includes a song tied to 2 Fast 2 Furious, recalling the film's opening race sequence and its memorable skyline shot. The track fits naturally with GTA's car culture and street-racing history, making Dirty South Classics another promising addition to the radio lineup.
Although Rockstar has detailed only six stations so far, the variety already spans several musical styles. The celebrity hosts also suggest that the broadcasts will offer more than songs, with conversations and commentary helping establish the personalities of Leonida's different communities.
Alongside the radio announcement, Rockstar has released three new screenshots showing more of the game's world.
The first features a car meet with Cadillac Escalades, donk-style cars with oversized rims, and crowds gathering around the vehicles. Some people are coming and leaving, and some are coming in on ATVs. In the background, a gas station shows someone rummaging through a trash can.
The gathering is held near the Conch King, suggesting a Florida Keys-inspired setting. The scene has a coastal vibe and local car culture, offering another look at what players might be doing outside the main missions.
The second picture shows Ocean Drive in South Beach at night, lit by neon lights. It looks like there's a party at the Ocean View Hotel, with a supercar and a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon parked nearby. A police officer directing traffic is also in the picture.

The image shows reflections on the road and the game's lighting effects. It shows rooftop parties, other venues, and even a living grass wall above street level. The city looks like it will be much more than sidewalks. The scene also includes Lime scooters, after we previously saw footage of Jason and Lucia riding them.
The final shot shows the Miami skyline, with a causeway crossing the water, boats passing by, and unique buildings and public art finishing the shot.
Together, the screenshots offer another glimpse of Leonida's car culture, nightlife, and coastal setting. With the addition of new radio stations and podcasts, it's clear Rockstar is crafting a world where music and everyday life intertwine.
Rockstar hasn't revealed the full radio lineup yet, but the six stations already feature a diverse mix of genres, big-name artists, and entertaining hosts. GTA 6 continues to give us a closer look at the world players will explore when the game launches, with on-foot podcasts and new screenshots showcasing the city's busy streets.
