In CODE VEIN II, you can find one of the strongest early weapons before you even leave the first cave with Noah. The Ancient Hunter Twin Blades are almost impossible to miss and provide a very solid foundation for your starting build.

Why the Twin Blades are Strong
These blades work very well because they scale with Dexterity. This is perfect because Noah gives you a Blood Code early on that has a high Dexterity stat in CODE VEIN II.
There is great synergy here because that specific Blood Code has a trait that makes your attack power go up every time you land a hit in a row. Since twin blades hit very fast, you can build up your damage quickly.
The weapon also comes with a skill called Adrenaline. When you use this, your overall attack power increases for a short time in CODE VEIN II.

Best Early Skills
You can find powerful skills, called Formae, to make the twin blades even better. One of the best is Phantom Assault. This move makes you leap forward to dodge an attack while hitting the enemy twice for serious damage.
Another great skill is Rising Twirl. You can find this on the east side of Magamel Island. This move is very helpful for fighting the enemies that look like balls with four legs.
These enemies only take real damage when they open their heads. Rising Twirl lets you jump up and hit them right in the face in CODE VEIN II.

Changing Your Style
The best part about this game is how easy it is to try new things. If you get tired of the twin blades, you can just swap your Blood Code.
This changes your stats and lets you use different weapons without having to start a new game. However, sticking with the blades through the early game will make most fights much easier for you in CODE VEIN II.
