This guide details the process of constructing a Timefall Shelter in Death Stranding 2, ensuring that you can complete the side objective and progress through the mission smoothly.
The steps below will explain how to locate, equip, and deploy the necessary equipment to build the shelter without confusion or delay.

Understanding the Mission Objective
Early in the first or second chapter, a primary mission requires the destruction of large BTs in the area. Concurrently, a side objective prompts you to construct a Timefall Shelter.
This shelter gives people a safe place to stay away from dangerous situations and restocks critical supplies that people need to stay alive. Getting this goal done is very important for the plan to succeed.

Locating and Acquiring a PCC Item
A PCC Item is required to build the Timefall Shelter. Check your inventory first to see if one is already available. If not, search nearby; you will often find a PCC Item lying on the ground close to the objective area. Once spotted, approach and ready it for deployment.
Equipping the PCC Item
Select and equip the PCC Item, then position it on your back. With the item equipped, you gain the ability to deploy various structures by throwing it onto the ground. Ensure that the PCC Item is prepared before proceeding to structure selection.

Switching Between Structure Options
Upon deploying the PCC Item, press down on the D-pad to cycle through the available structures. The default option may be a watchtower or another terminal labeled as an improper or unrequested structure. Continue pressing down on the D-pad until the Timefall Shelter option appears.
Constructing the Timefall Shelter
Once you've chosen the Timefall Shelter, find a good spot near the goal marker and set it up. Once placed, the side goal will be marked as complete, and the Timefall Shelter will become a safe area where items can be restocked. This lets you keep going with the primary task without any problems.

Tips and Notes
Remember to cycle structures using the D-pad and watch for the prompt indicating the Timefall Shelter. Proper placement completes the objective and guarantees a reinforced advance.
