Preparing for the Mission

Make sure the Tar Cannon is unlocked before you start the task. Even though the Tar Cannon isn't strictly needed to complete the goal, it is beneficial when fighting areas that are on fire.

If it's available, equip it, but having a reliable vehicle is more important. The same truck used here is excellent because it's fast and can carry a lot of stuff.

Securing the Animal Cage

En route to the Kangaroo, locate and pick up the Animal Cage. This special container is required to carry the injured test subject safely.

The path to the Animal Cage is marked on your map; deviate from the main route briefly to collect it before proceeding toward the rescue site.

Approaching the Kangaroo

Upon arrival, you will encounter an active Bushfire threatening the Kangaroo's safety. Mission control (the Chiral Network) will alert you to the situation:

"We have a situation, Sam. I'm tracking a fresh Bushfire near the injured Kangaroo's location. The clock's ticking—secure the poor little bug ASAP and bring it onto the Chiral Network. Once DHV Magellan can join you on-site, we'll see what we can do about that fire."

Move quickly but cautiously to avoid being trapped by the flames, as this area is marked as a dangerous location.

Handling the Bushfire

Stay away from the fires as much as possible. If you have the Tar Cannon, use it to stop or change the path of the fire by making a barrier of Tar.

If not, you'll have to count on speed and smart cover to get through hot spots. Pay attention to the "Heat" alerts on your HUD and change the way you're going to reach the Kangaroo as needed.

Extracting the Kangaroo

Once within range, approach the Kangaroo carefully. Interact to place it inside the Animal Cage. Ensure that the Animal Cage is secured in your vehicle before departure.

Completing the Delivery

With the Kangaroo safely contained, initiate the delivery route:

"Commencing route creation. Delivery route finalized."

Drive back toward the facility, remaining vigilant for residual fire hazards. Upon arrival, security protocols will lift as the facility's sensors detect the Animal Cage. Be advised that weapons are restricted within the facility grounds.
