This step-by-step guide explains exactly how you can unlock and evolve Veemon into Lighdramon (Raidramon) in Digimon Story: Time Stranger.
It covers the rank requirement, how to obtain the Digi-Egg of Friendship, where to find the crafting materials Blackish Texture and Nanomachine Break I, and how to use the dungeon that makes farming easy—so you can ride your new Armor Digimon and enjoy its signature Lightning Blade move right away.
Prerequisites to Unlock Lighdramon (Raidramon)

To access Lighdramon (Raidramon), you must first have Veemon and reach Agent Rank 3 or higher. Veemon can be unlocked by speaking with Tsunomon, making it a straightforward early step before progressing to the Armor evolution path.
How to Obtain the Digi-Egg of Friendship
Advance the story until you can return to the area with Vulcanusmon and visit the Vulcanusmon Workshop. There, you can acquire the Digi-Egg of Friendship. Be prepared to spend 10,000, which is a fair price considering how valuable this Armor evolution is for traversal and combat.
Required Materials: Blackish Texture and Nanomachine Break I

Before completing your Digi-Egg of Friendship purchase, make sure you have the two required materials: Blackish Texture and Nanomachine Break I.
The process is simple. Nanomachine Break I is obtained by speaking with Gawappamon back in town, ensuring an easy pickup so you can focus on farming the other component.
Where to Farm Blackish Texture Efficiently
The most time-effective place to farm Blackish Texture is the In-Between Theater. Entry costs $10, which is a worthwhile investment because the enemy layout makes repeated farming runs efficient.

Battle Raremon inside this dungeon to obtain Blackish Texture consistently. If access to this enemy or area hasn’t opened yet, continue advancing the main story. You can also encounter suitable enemies in the sewers, but the In-Between Theater remains the fastest and least wasteful method.
Purchasing and Using the Digi-Egg of Friendship
Once you have Blackish Texture and Nanomachine Break I, return to Vulcanusmon to purchase the Digi-Egg of Friendship for 10,000.
After obtaining it, use the Digi-Egg of Friendship on Veemon to evolve into Lighdramon (Raidramon). The Armor evolution unlocks a rideable form that enhances exploration and delivers a satisfying power spike for early and mid-game content.

Combat Note: Lightning Blade
After the evolution, you gain access to Lightning Blade, a fast, high-impact move that feels great to use in encounters. Incorporating Lightning Blade into your rotation gives you a stylish and effective option for clearing enemies while you enjoy the mobility benefits of riding Lighdramon (Raidramon).
