Defeat Green Dragon

Princess Gwaelin is held captive inside Quagmire Cave, which you can access once you have the Magic Key. You’ll need this item to open the path that connects Basement 2 (B2) and leads to Basement 1 (B1), where the princess is imprisoned.

When you get to where she is, you have to kill the Green Dragon that is guarding her cell. Before you try to fight this enemy, you should be at least Level 21 because they are strong and can do a lot of damage in Dragon Quest I HD-2D Remake.

Make sure to improve your party, get lots of healing items, and put on your best gear before going into the cave. It will be possible to free Princess Gwaelin after you beat the Green Dragon.

Choosing not to return her allows Princess Gwaelin to accompany you further in your journey.
