After choosing a base location in God Save Birmingham, it is important to secure it correctly to ensure that you can sleep safely. This guide will take you through the steps to secure the location.

God Save Birmingham Guide Cleaning the House

Clearing Out the Space

Start by dragging any zombie bodies out of the house. The developers have stated that corpses do not currently impact on comfort levels, but it is better to get rid of them than risk it. Then, relocate your chest and any other clutter from the main living area, as this will help to increase your sleep stability over time.

Installing the Latch

The most critical is to fit a latch on the door. This will involve breaking down some of the wood that you have around you to obtain planks. A latch is important because if there is no latch, then the chances of someone coming in increase, and zombies can walk in on you while you're sleeping, which is what you don't want. Collect the planks, kindling and sticks, and then install the latch.

Treating Any Injuries

If you take any damage while working through this process, don't ignore it. Apply ointment to wounds (usually found in chests throughout town) and then bandage the wound after the wound itself is treated. Once the door is closed and your injuries are taken care of, you can get your base in a good shape before you start to set up cooking and sleeping quarters.
