To find grass seeds in Grounded 2, you have to do something different than just cutting regular grass in Grounded 2.

It's crucial to collect this resource correctly, as it's necessary for upgrading items like the Shovel.

Getting Your Tools Ready

At the beginning of the game, you need to go to the Ranger Outpost spot on the map. As you move through the game, it automatically leads you to this spot.

When you get to the Ranger Outpost, look for the Omni Tool on the wall inside the building.

You should already have the Axe upgrade on this tool when you get it.

If the Axe upgrade isn't there, follow the cord that comes from the tool out of the main store, through a cave, and into the back area, where you can make the upgrade in Grounded 2.

Choosing the Right Grass

When you cut down regular grass, it won't give you grass seeds. You need to find specific types of grass stalks with Seeds that are visible on top of them.

Look through the area around the Ranger Outpost and pay close attention to the grass.

If you see grass with a bunch of seeds at the top, follow the stem down to find the Grass Stalk that the seeds are attached to.

Getting Grass Seeds

Use your Omni Tool with the Axe improvement to cut down a Grass Stalk that has Seeds on it once you've found one in Grounded 2.

The way gathering works is similar to how it works in other survival games. When you cut the right Grass Stalk, it will fall over, and the Seeds will fall from the top.

You can pick up the grass seeds that fall to the ground.

Using this way, you can collect the grass seeds you need for different crafting recipes and upgrades in Grounded 2.
