Heretic + Hexen Guide | All Secrets in The Docks

The Docks level in both Heretic + Hexen is filled with valuable items, secrets, and areas that can greatly enhance your experience. This guide will help you uncover all the hidden elements in this level, including powerful artifacts, weapons, and helpful pickups.

Silver Shield Location

Upon entering the starting room, head towards the southeast corner. Look behind the barrels to find a hidden passage. Press against the brighter wall, and you will reveal a secret chamber that contains a Silver Shield. This shield provides excellent protection and is an essential find early in the level.

Gauntlets of the Necromancer and Wand Crystals

As you move forward and open the first wooden door, pay close attention to the wall ahead. You will see a demonic face with a mouthful of skulls. 

Interact with the face to open the wall behind it. Inside, you will find the Gauntlets of the Necromancer, which enhance your abilities, as well as a pair of Wand Crystals to recharge your wand.

Tome of Power and Ethereal Crossbow

When you reach the room with the window, focus on the eastern wall. There, you will see a panel adorned with an eagle insignia. Activate this panel to open a path that leads to a platform near the docks, where you will find a Tome of Power. 

Be careful not to drop down into the water. Instead, continue along the corridor you came from and follow the next passage. This will lead you to the Ethereal Crossbow. Alternatively, you can access this area by using a second eagle insignia wall located above the window room in the adjacent corridor.

Bag of Holding Location

After you pull the switch that opens the sealed door, retrace your steps back to the window room. A teleporter will now be available, leading you to the water outside. On the shores, you will find a Bag of Holding, which will significantly increase your inventory capacity, making it easier to carry more items throughout the level.
