At this year's New York Comic Con, Dead by Daylight's producer, Mathieu Côté, took time from his busy schedule to speak to me about the game's future, including future support.

Côté confirmed that Dead by Daylight won't be coming to the Switch because of the system's design. Côté explained to me that the Nintendo Switch has a very specific design and that bringing Dead by Daylight to the system would require a brand-new build of the game. This meant recreating the entire game specifically for the Nintendo Switch.

While Côté could not discuss any future content for the game or whether the rumors surrounding Freddy Kruger were true, he confirmed that a patch was in the works for the Xbox One X when the system launched on November 7th.

This will include support for the system's higher processing power and will extend to the PS4 Pro version of the game. Côté explained that they want to keep all versions of the game in sync to ensure that everyone has the same experience regardless of what platform they're playing on.

When I asked about the greatest accomplishment since the game, public Côté answered that it was the strong and growing community of gamers. Dead by Daylight has more players than ever before, and that number keeps rising thanks to the growing population who constantly play the game on each platform.

Dead by Daylight is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
