In Pokémon Legends Z-A, you can obtain Mawile once you reach certain stages in the main story. This guide explains how to locate Mawile in the wild, what missions unlock its areas, and the details of its battle stats.
Pokédex Information
In the Lumiose Pokédex, Mawile appears as entry number #133. It belongs to the Steel/Fairy-type category, stands at a height of 2’00”, and weighs 25.4 lbs.
Mawile does not evolve into or from any other Pokémon. The large jaws extending from the back of its head are formed by horns, which it uses to bite and crush materials such as iron beams in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Where to Find Mawile
You can encounter Mawile in two separate Wild Zones after completing specific main missions.
In Wild Zone 9, Mawile becomes available once you complete Main Mission 9: Chase That Mysterious Pokémon!. After unlocking this area, travel to the southwestern part of the zone and climb the ladders that lead up to the rooftops. You will find Mawile roaming in this elevated area.
Later, in Wild Zone 17, you can locate another Mawile after finishing Main Mission 24: Reaching Rank C. This time, it appears as a red-eyed Alpha Mawile on the rooftops up the ladder where the Pyroars are found. The Alpha version encountered here is at Level 56 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Mawile’s Battle Stats
Mawile has a total combat point value of 380, with its abilities distributed evenly between attack and defense. It has 50 HP, an Attack of 85, and a Defense of 85, giving it a solid foundation for physical encounters.
Its Special Attack and Special Defense both stand at 55, while its Speed measures 50. This combination provides Mawile with a balanced structure, making it suitable for various battle situations in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
