RuneScape Dragonwilds Guide | Umbral Sands Regional Cape Location

Umbral Sands Cape, unlocked via a hidden chest in the northern part of Umbral Sands. The chest is high on a rock formation, so to reach it you have to build platforms and use Windstep. Inside is the Shred of Sunbleached Weave, the Vestige that unlocks the cape recipe.

Reach the Northern Dunes of Uzzer

Travel to the northern section of the Dunes of Uzzer, close to the Nightmare Crucible. Bring lightweight building materials before leaving, with Oak Logs being a convenient option for constructing the platforms needed during the climb.

From this area, move toward the large rock structure. Enemies may be nearby, but they can either be defeated or avoided.

Build Platforms Up the Rock Formation

Move around to the right side of the rock until you reach one of its higher accessible points. Normal Agility movement is not enough to reach the chest directly, so begin placing platforms against the cliff.

The first platform needs to connect properly with the rock wall before another can be attached. Adjust its height and position until the placement indicator allows it.

Climb onto the platforms and use Windstep to gain additional height. Continue upward, then use Windstep again to reach the upper section of the formation.

Open the Hidden Chest

Move around to the back side of the upper rock formation. The hidden chest is located there and contains the Shred of Sunbleached Weave.

Study the Shred of Sunbleached Weave to unlock the Umbral Sands Cape recipe. The cape can then be crafted at an Armour Bench.

After you reach the secret chest and examine the Shred of Sunbleached Weave, you are able to unlock and craft the Umbral Sands Cape.
