The Spectral Book and Shroud of Noggin are hidden Fellhollow rewards tied to the X Marks the Spot activity in RuneScape: Dragonwilds. The route involves following clues left by four dead adventurers before digging up a concealed treasure chest near Hope's Fall.

Find the Four X Marks the Spot Journals

Start in Bleakfields Valley. Follow the path near the trees until you find the first skeleton and collect Eleanor Scathe's Diary.

Next, travel to Coalridge Pass. Begin near the ghost structure, climb onto the nearby raised terrain, then move down toward the ledge where the second skeleton rests. Collect Nolan Scathe's Journal.

The third clue is north of Hope's Fall. Travel to the nearby structure, move toward the tree line, and climb the ledge to reach the skeleton holding Samuel Malcifer's Journal.

For the fourth clue, travel south from the previous location and follow the road toward its end. The final skeleton holds Winston Henning's Diary. These four documents provide the clues leading to the buried treasure.

Dig Up the Hidden Chest

Bring a Spade and travel to Hope's Fall. Use Imaru's Tower as your landmark, turn away from the tower, and cross the nearby bridge. Immediately check the ground to the left for a suspicious mound.

Dig at the mound to reveal the unusual buried chest. Inside are the Spectral Book Plans and the Scratchy Sackcloth Vestige.

Unlock the Shroud of Noggin

Study the Scratchy Sackcloth to learn the Shroud of Noggin recipe. Craft it at a Crafting Table using one Zombie Pack, eight Ectoplasm, and three Fine Thread. The Power Level 1 head armour provides the Steadfast Stomach effect, which reduces Wither buildup.

Build the Spectral Book

The Spectral Book is a decorative building item. After learning its plan from the chest, open the Build Menu and find the Spectral Book under the Fellhollow decorations. Each one requires five Ectoplasm.

After finding the X Marks the Spot treasure, you can learn the Shroud of Noggin recipe from the Scratchy Sackcloth and build Spectral Books using the recovered plan.
