Here’s how you can easily level up Order of Souls in Sea of Thieves.
Game Guide by Ornstein on Aug 07, 2025
This guide presents the fastest and easiest way to level up the Order of Souls as of the latest Sea of Thieves update.
Whether you are just unlocking the emissary system or aiming to reach Grade Five swiftly, you will find clear steps and tips to optimize your reputation gains.
Emissary Preparation

Before beginning, raise the Order of Souls Emissary Flag. If you have not unlocked this, you must reach Level 15 in the Order of Souls first.
Next, purchase a Storage Crate from the Merchant Alliance; this grants additional emissary reputation to help you advance to Grade Five more quickly.
Method One: Skeleton Fort Raid (Solo-Friendly)
To start, board your ship and visit the Quest Table. Navigate to Voyages, then to Order of Souls, and then to Raid Voyages, select a Raid on a Skeleton Fort.
Upon diving, you will spawn off the coast of an active skeleton fort containing valuable loot, including the 10,000‑gold variant of the Eye of Souls.

Sail directly toward the fort; cannon fire poses little threat as the skeletons will despawn when you approach.
Equip a pistol and sword for speed, and when the main fort boss appears, switch to a blunderbuss and deploy a keg or two to finish the fight quickly.
After defeating the boss, collect all the loot from the Vault and position it for harpooning onto your ship.
Completing two consecutive Raid on a Skeleton Fort events will earn enough reputation to reach Grade Five Emissary status. Return to an outpost to sell your loot, then dive again to repeat the process.
Method Two: Skeleton Fleet Raid (Crew-Optimized)

The second quest, slightly faster with a crew, is a Raid on a Skeleton Flea. After surfacing, you will be adjacent to a skeleton ship.
To complete this event efficiently as a solo sailor, use firebombs on the top deck to disable enemy cannons, turn the wheel slightly in one direction, and raise sails halfway; this disrupts the skeleton ship AI, causing it to circle slowly and miss its shots.
Focus fire on the ship’s hull base—especially critical on galleons—to create lower hull breaches. After sinking the vessel, stop at the shipwreck marked by circling birds to gather all Skulls and Storage Crates, as these contribute to emissary grade and reputation.
Upon finishing the event, return to an outpost, sell your haul, then undertake Die for the Voyage again to complete a second run and secure Grade Five status.
Each completed raid awards an All‑Seeing Eye of Souls, and when combined with a Grade Five Emissary Flag, this yields 37,500 gold plus significant reputation gains.

Additional Tips
Along your voyages, fire toward nearby islands to reveal Skeleton Captains and shipwrecks, which often contain exceptional loot.
If you encounter difficulties completing events swiftly, consider joining the dedicated Discord community to team up with experienced sailors ready to assist in leveling your Order of Souls rank.
These two events remain the most efficient means to level up the Order of Souls, delivering rapid emissary progression and lucrative rewards far beyond other activities in the Sea of Thieves.
