The Shrine Path Altar Puzzle in Silent Hill F appears early in the story as one of the first interactive challenges. This puzzle requires you to correctly place various objects—such as the Kimono, Rat, Vase, Fan, and other Altar pieces—in their designated spots to unlock progression in Silent Hill f.

The arrangement of the objects changes depending on the difficulty level. This guide covers the correct placements for Story, Hard, and Lost in the Fog difficulties.

Story Difficulty Solution

On Story Difficulty, start by placing the Kimono on the left side of the Altar. Next, position the Rat at the top section. Then, place the Vase in the middle. The Fan should be set on the far right, and finally, put the last remaining Altar piece in the remaining open spot in Silent Hill f.

Hard Difficulty Solution

For Hard Difficulty, the placements are different. Begin by placing the Fan on the left side. Put the Vase in the middle, then position the Rat on the right. The Kimono should go at the top right, and the final Altar piece—referred to as the Sage—goes at the top left position in Silent Hill f.

Lost in the Fog: Difficulty Solution

On Lost in the Fog Difficulty, start by placing the Fan on the left side. Then, set the Kimono in the middle. Place the Vase all the way to the right. Next, position the additional Altar piece at the top left, and finally, place the Rat-Fish figure at the top right in Silent Hill f.
