Slime Rancher 2 Guide | Treasure Pod Guide

Here's a simple guide on Treasure Pods

Game Guide by Subyunplugged on  Oct 06, 2025

Slime Rancher 2 is full of colorful landscapes and hidden secrets. One of the most rewarding discoveries across Rainbow Island is the Treasure Pod.

These hidden containers hold blueprints that can be crafted at the Fabricator. Many of them provide useful utilities or even upgrades, while the others unlock decorative items to personalize your ranch.

You can find treasure Pods scattered throughout every major region: Rainbow Fields, Starlight Strand, Ember Valley, Powderfall Bluffs, and the Conservatory.

Each of these areas contains a set number of pods. These can also be tracked through the in-game map. The map displays both the number collected and the total available in that area, making it easier for you to complete your collection.

Some of the Treasure Pods are located in plain sight. However, some of the others are hidden in caves, perched on cliffs, or tucked into hard-to-reach corners. You have to unlock the jetpack through the Fabricator beneath the Conservatory, which is essential for many of the more difficult locations.

While you also have to note that not every Treasure Pod contains essential upgrades, each one adds something to the ranching experience. From decorations that enhance creativity to utilities that improve efficiency, hunting for these pods is an adventure in itself.

Rainbow Fields & the Conservatory

The first major area outside the Conservatory is Rainbow Fields. This area contains some of the easiest pods to find. Most of the pods are placed near paths and meadows, which makes them perfect for early exploration.

Pink Gordo Pathways

Several pods can be found along the trails that lead to the Pink Gordo. This pod offers decorations and basic utilities.

Conservatory Perimeter

A few pods are hidden in the cliffs surrounding the starting area. And you might need the jetpack to reach it.

Caves and Tunnels

Rainbow Fields has small cave networks with pods tucked away inside. These frequently contain blueprints for decorations like lamps and fences.

In total, this region helps build the foundation of the collection and also introduces the concept of pods in accessible locations.

Ember Valley

Ember Valley is known for its volcanic terrain, rocky cliffs, and lava-filled caverns. Many pods here are more difficult to reach, and you need to use the jetpack carefully.

Volcano Caves

You will find pods deep inside the volcanic regions, which hold blueprints for fire-themed decorations and structural upgrades.

Cliffside Perches

Here, several pods are perched on high ridges. This makes stamina and jetpack upgrades valuable for reaching them.

Western Reaches

You can find a few pods in the far west of Ember Valley that contain useful utilities for improving ranch operations.

Ember Valley pods will provide you with items that match the fiery aesthetic of the island, such as lava lamps or volcanic structures.

Starlight Strand

Starlight Strand is one of the most beautiful regions in the game. This area is filled with glowing flora, winding rivers, and bioluminescent groves. It also contains a large number of Treasure Pods, many of which are hidden in challenging spots.

Waterfall Ledges

Pods are tucked into alcoves near the waterfalls, rewarding persistence with unique decorations.

Forest Paths

You will see Pods scattered along winding trails and near slime statues. You need to explore at night to see clearly.

Central Structures

Additionally, you will find some pods inside ruins and hidden behind locked doors, which hold blueprints for furniture and themed items.

Pods in Starlight Strand reward exploration and often encourage revisiting areas multiple times to uncover everything.

Powderfall Bluffs

Powderfall Bluffs is an icy, secluded region filled with snowy cliffs and frozen caves. It contains some of the most challenging Treasure Pods to access.

Frozen Caves

Inside icy caverns, you will find pods that may hold frost-themed items such as icy decorations or glowing crystals.

Snowy Cliffs

You may need stamina upgrades and precise jetpack use to reach certain pods on the cliffs.

Hidden Paths

Here, some of the pods are tucked behind the narrow passages that are easy to miss on the first visit.

Powderfall Bluffs rewards explorers with some of the most unique decorative items in the game, which reflect the region's frozen beauty.

Conservatory Pods

Even within the safety of the Conservatory, you can find Treasure Pods. These typically hold decorative items and utilities for the ranch, making them worth seeking out early in the game.

Main Yards

A few pods are placed near the outer edges of the Conservatory's starting plots.

Fabricator Area

One or two pods can be located in hidden corners near the Fabricator and Refinery. Make sure to look closely.

Though they are simple, these pods can help new ranchers begin customizing their ranch without needing to travel far.

Tips for Collecting Treasure Pods

Unlock the Jetpack Early

Many pods are placed on cliffs or high ledges that are otherwise inaccessible. So unlocking the jetpack early on will be a game-changer.

Upgrade Stamina

Exploring large areas with vertical climbs is easier with improved energy reserves. Hence, it's important to upgrade stamina, which will allow you to explore without issues.

Check the Map Often

Use the map to track the number of pods remaining in each region. This will help you track the number of pods remaining to collect.

Explore at Different Times

Some pods are easier to spot at night when glowing markers stand out more.

Don't Expect Only Upgrades

Many pods focus on decorations, so the reward is often aesthetic rather than functional.

Slime Rancher 2's Treasure Pods provide a rewarding new level of Rainbow Island exploring. Whether positioned above cliffs, hidden in caves, or waiting in frozen locations.

The result is both essential and imaginative, but gathering them all takes time, improvements, and a fast sense. Each pod contributes something different to the trip, from practical tools to adorable accents.
