Tracking down these owls is made significantly easier thanks to Rinwell's trusty companion, Hootle. Whenever you enter a zone that contains a hidden owl, Hootle will actively pop out of Rinwell's coat and fly around the screen in a brief circle, providing a clear visual and audio cue that a collectible is nearby.

As you get closer to the actual hiding spot, you will also hear the distinct hooting of the hidden bird, allowing you to use directional audio to pinpoint its exact location in the scenery.

Finding your first few owls will naturally unlock access to the Owl Forest, a magical, peaceful sanctuary governed by the Owl King and Owl Queen. Every time you find an owl in the wild, it relocates to this forest, perching on the branches corresponding to its original region.

You must regularly return to the Owl Forest to speak with the King, who will reward your diligent exploration efforts with new outfits, varying color palettes for your armor, and eventually, the ultimate artifacts needed for the late-game grind.

Searching the Scorched Lands of Calaglia

Your collectible journey begins in the fiery, barren wastelands of Calaglia, which hosts a total of nine owls. The very first owl is practically unmissable, perched on a small dead tree right at the end of the wooden bridge in Sandinus Ravine. Finding this bird rewards you with the Dog Tail cosmetic. Moving into the oppressed town of Ulzebek, you can find your second owl perched high on a clothesline on the roof of the Crimson Crows' headquarters, granting you the Rabbit Ears.

As you venture out into the Iglia Wastes, you must thoroughly explore the southern portion of the map. You will find an owl sitting high up in the bare branches of a tree overlooking the canyon, which yields the Spotted Cat Ears. Pushing forward into the Kyrd Garrison, take a slight detour from the main path to look near a small rocky overlook just before the entrance to the Trench of Flames. Here, an owl is hiding quietly to give you the Cat Tail attachment.

Inside the brutal labor camp of Mosgul, head toward the southern wall where the brickwork has crumbled. Tucked behind a small stone structure is an owl holding the Monocle cosmetic. Once you finally enter the Trench of Flames, specifically the Castle Gates area, look inside a ruined, burning house on the eastern side of the path. An owl is resting safely on the dilapidated brickwork, rewarding you with the Dog Ears.

As you storm Glanymede Castle to confront the local Renan Lord, you will find another owl on the third floor of the fortress. It is resting comfortably among some chickens on the right side of the room, providing the Rabbit Tail. Finally, before leaving Calaglia for good, search the Gates of Fire area just past the castle. You will find the last standard owl of this region sitting behind some torn metal mesh on the western side of the path, holding the Left Bandage.

Braving the Frozen Wastes of Cyslodia

The freezing, snow-covered realm of Cyslodia hides six standard owls throughout its blinding blizzards. When you first enter the White Silver Plains, walk across the main stone bridge and immediately look to your right. An owl is sitting quietly on a small stone pillar, carrying the Left Eyepatch. Continuing into the hidden village of Messia 224, check behind the wooden basket near the ox cart in the back of the settlement to find the Wolf Ears.

Out in the expansive Nevira Snowplains, you will need to navigate toward the large frozen lake in the center of the map. Look for a large rock formation jutting out of the ice, where an owl is perched waiting to hand over the Wolf Tail. Once you infiltrate the heavily policed city of Cysloden, head into the Alley area. Search near the hidden waterway entrance against the stone wall to discover an owl wearing the Sunglasses cosmetic.

During your ascent of the Riville Prison Tower, take a moment to carefully check the second floor. Tucked away on top of a bookshelf in the southern chamber is an owl that grants you the Devil Horns. Your final standard stop in Cyslodia is the Frozen Valley. Just before you cross the massive wooden bridge leading out of the region, look high up in the branches of a snow-covered tree to find the owl carrying the Half Frames.

Exploring the Lush Realm of Menancia

The vibrant, incredibly lush pastures of Menancia offer a stark contrast to the previous regions, hiding six more owls among its beautiful flora. Upon arriving at Overseer Hill, head toward the southern fishing spot and look at the rocky cliffside nearby. You will spot an owl resting on a grassy ledge, holding the Red Tropical Corsage. As you cross the Traslida Highway, look closely at the wheat fields near the stable to find an owl perched on a scarecrow, rewarding you with the Devil Wings.

Inside the bustling, seemingly utopian city of Viscint, head directly to the local marketplace. Check the blue merchant stalls near the center of town to find an owl sitting comfortably on top of an awning, carrying the Halo cosmetic. While exploring the grand Autelina Palace, make your way into the kitchen on the first floor. You will easily spot an owl sitting on a shelf above the cooking ingredients, holding the shiny Crown.

Moving out into the Tietal Plain, you will need to look up high. Near the eastern side of the map, an owl is sitting on top of a large, ruined stone archway, waiting to give you the Giggle Glasses. The final owl of this region is found at Talka Pond, right on the edge of the map where the path transitions to the next zone. It is perched on the stone wall surrounding the water, rewarding you with the Devil Tail.

Scouring the Windswept Valleys of Mahag Saar

The war-torn, chaotic realm of Mahag Saar contains five highly elusive owls. When you enter the ruined city of Niez, head to the eastern side of the map near the exit. Look for a large wooden bucket situated on top of some debris, where an owl is hiding with the Rose Corsage. Out in the Aqfotle Hills, explore the ruined stone buildings near the center of the zone. An owl is perched on a broken wall, holding the Retro Sunglasses.

The expansive Adan Lake requires some careful camera management. Head to the western side of the lake and look high up on the towering stone archways to spot an owl holding the Angry Glasses. Over in the Adan Ruins, drop down into the lower trenches and look across the gap. You will see an owl sitting on a ledge, carrying the Angel Wings.

The final owl in this region is uniquely located aboard the Mobile Fortress Gradia, sitting on a desk inside the ship's interior. If you progress the story and the ship is destroyed before you find this owl, there is no need to panic. The game ensures nothing is missable, and this specific owl will simply wash up on the shores of Thistlym in the next region, granting you the Butterfly Wings cosmetic either way.

Navigating the Swamps of Ganath Haros

The dense, humid swamps of Ganath Haros hide the final six standard owls of your journey. Right as you enter the Tuah Seaside, turn around and look back at the exit point. An owl is sitting quietly on the vines, holding the Right Eyepatch. Inside the village of Thistlym, look underneath the large, burning brazier near the entrance to find the owl carrying the Star Hair Clip.

The Shinefall Woods requires a bit of platforming. You must climb up the steep incline on the northern side of the map and walk across the large stone archway to reach the owl holding the Right Bandage. Inside the Laville Slums, head toward the southern elevator and check the nearby brick wall to spot an owl with the Sad Glasses.

In the beautiful upper tiers of Pelegion, search the area near the elevator that leads up to the castle. An owl is sitting on a stone railing overlooking the city, holding the Crying Glasses. Finally, inside Del Fharis Castle, explore the Central Plaza area on the fourth floor. You will find the last standard owl sitting on a decorative structure, giving you the adorable Hootle Doll.

Uncovering the Six Special Owls

Once you have successfully found all thirty-two standard owls across the five realms, you must return to the Owl Forest. The Owl King will congratulate you on your efforts and inform you that six special, highly secretive owls have now spawned across the world. Unlike the previous owls that merely offered cosmetic items, these final six hold powerful artifacts that provide massive, permanent gameplay modifiers, such as carrying over your skills or items into a New Game Plus playthrough.

The first special owl requires you to return to Calaglia and travel to the Iglia Wastes. You must use Dohalim's specific map action to grow vines and climb to the highest peak in the area, where the owl is waiting with the Vivid Sphere artifact. Next, head back to Glanymede Castle and march all the way up to the Lord's Chamber on the top floor. The owl is perched directly on the throne, holding the Battle Maiden's Shield artifact.

For the third special owl, return to the Riville Prison Tower in Cyslodia. Head to the hidden chamber on the first floor that previously required a key to open. The owl is sitting on a desk inside, rewarding you with the Broken Machine Gun artifact. The fourth owl is located in the Autelina Palace in Menancia, specifically inside the Guard Room on the second floor. Finding this bird grants you the Ancient Excavator artifact.

Claiming Your Ultimate Rewards

The fifth special owl requires a trip back to Del Fharis Castle in Ganath Haros. Make your way back to the Lord's Chamber where you fought Vholran, and you will find the owl sitting on the massive throne, holding the Trident artifact. The final, thirty-eighth owl is completely hidden away on the

Uninhabited Island, a secret location that only becomes accessible by completing a specific late-game side quest found in the Tuah Seaside. After defeating the massive boss on this island, you will find the final owl sitting near the arena, rewarding you with the Metal Miner's Cap.

With all thirty-eight owls finally collected, you can return to the Owl Forest one last time. The Owl King and Queen will host a grand, heartwarming celebration in your honor. Speaking to the King after this event will finalize your collection, permanently rewarding you with the Owl Homecoming and Owl Spotter achievements.

This completely stress-free collectible hunt is a testament to the game's excellent design, allowing you to thoroughly enjoy the gorgeous environments of Dahna while earning incredible rewards at your own natural pace.
