It takes more than the best gear and quick reflexes to beat cruel tyrants across the vast, segregated worlds of Dahna and Rena. The food prepared in the period of relaxation is essential for survival and further development of the party. Characters can eat a hearty meal at a campfire or local inn for an immensely powerful, time-limited bonus.
Such benefits include flat physical attack boosts, reduction of elemental damage, and game-changing utilities such as large experience point multipliers, increased item drop rates, and faster combat point generation.

For completist players, finding these culinary secrets is a high priority. When you collect thirty different non-downloadable recipes on your adventure, you unlock the prestigious Globetrotting Foodie achievement.
There are thirty-eight recipes in the core game, scattered throughout its varied regions and unlocked by exploring the environment, going on long treasure hunts, or following complex citizen side stories. You’ll know exactly where each dish is, so your party will stay perfectly fed and optimally buffed for whatever the game throws at you.
Journey Delicacies Unmissable
Your culinary journey starts with a collection of baseline recipes that require no intentional hunting or backtracking. The game gives these to you naturally as part of the core story progression, giving every player a set menu right from the start. Your first dish ever is the humble Porridge, which is unlocked automatically during the opening hours of the campaign when Alphen and Shionne first team up in the arid wastes of Calaglia. This simple meal is your first taste of the campfire mechanics and the concept of character-specific cooking specialties.
Naturally, as the story progresses and takes your party into the second phase of the rebellion, more options open up. The Vegetable Soup and the Vegetable Juice recipes are given to you as rewards for major accomplishments in the Land of Glistening Radiance. These early-game options are very helpful as they give you easy ways to increase how much ore you get. Later, when you’re trying to resolve the serious political unrest in Kelzalik’s Uprising, the story automatically adds the Cheese Fondue to your list.
The last set of mandatory narrative recipes occurs as the party arrives in the coastal lands and experiences the emotional impact of Kisara’s Ideals. Solving these specific narrative challenges gives you instant access to two different seafood options. You’ll automatically get the recipes for the Leaf-Wrapped Fish and the delicate Gnocchi. These six options are truly not to be missed and make a great foundation for your collection so that you can focus your active scouting efforts on the hidden gems scattered across the various realms.
Trawling the Burnt Earth of Calaglia
When Balseph’s soldiers are gone and you are free to explore the liberated realm of Calaglia, you can begin tracking down the hidden culinary traditions of the region. The first optional recipe requires an eye for environmental exploration. You can fly straight to the rocky outposts of the Kyrd Garrison, and fly the cliffs around the entrance to the Cave of Solitude. In a quiet corner there is a hidden glowing blue treasure chest with the Grilled Mushrooms recipe, a great early choice to bolster your party’s elemental defenses.

The other optional Calaglia recipes are linked to the local people and their appeals for help. After the primary lord is defeated, you can return to the freed slave camp of Mosgul and search the far northern edge of the settlement. The Grilled Fish recipe is hidden in a blue container near the broken structures.
If you talk to the desperate citizens still living in the town of Ulzebek, you can accept the sub-quest Hunger Averted. This simple delivery quest will reward you with the calming Steamed Potatoes recipe, which will let your party recover health points automatically after a victorious battle.
And as you help the locals rebuild their lives, more complex quests will pop up. You can head back to the nice medic in Mosgul to activate the Doc’s Secret Ingredient quest, where you’ll collect some specific ingredients to receive the Kebab recipe.
If you’re brave enough to explore the blazing depths of the region in the late game, you can complete the Into the Grotto questline for the heavy-duty Wiener recipe. Finally, finishing the entire City Renewal questline will reward the party with Glanymede Donuts, a local specialty that greatly increases the amount of combat points gained at the end of an encounter.
The Frozen Secrets of Cyslodia
The icy struggles of the citizens of Cyslodia hide their own unique culinary rewards behind the permanently frozen landscapes of Cyslodia. When you first arrive in the snow-covered village of Messia 224, take some time to speak with the shivering residents to unlock the Hard Liquor sub-quest. Finishing the requirements for this cold quest rewards the party with the Lohikeitto recipe, a hearty traditional fish and potato soup that serves as an excellent tool for increasing the frequency of rare item drops from defeated enemies.
The further one progresses into the great capital city of Cysloden, the more culinary options become available. Start the next phase of the game’s recurring food storyline with the Gourmet Saga: Berry Scavenging sub-quest by taking a stroll through the bustling alleyways and checking in with the local resistance members. In this quest, you have to brave the icy wilds and gather fresh, hidden ingredients. You can hand these to the strange quest giver to get the delicious Apple Pie recipe, a nice and easy boost to your elemental attack power.
The Palatial Platters of the Elde Menancia
Across Dahna, Elde Menancia is known as the gold standard of agricultural abundance and culinary refinement. This means the area has some of the best stat-boosting foods your party can get. First thing you should go looking is the beautiful and clean halls of Autelina Palace in the capital city of Viscint. The palace is a treasure trove of recipes, if you know exactly where to look. A thorough search of the first-floor library yields a blue chest containing the classic Omelet recipe.
If you go to the second floor and thoroughly explore the heavily surveilled operational rooms, the palace still has rewards. You can also loot a separate blue container in the Guard Room that contains the savory Pork Bun recipe. Besides the obvious chest hunting, the palace staff and the local citizens provide vital sub-quests. Talking to the kitchen staff in the palace will trigger the Gourmet Saga: Palace Delicacy sub-quest, where you have to get hold of top-quality ingredients in order to gain access to the much sought-after Beef Stew recipe.
The final major recipe in this area calls for you to indulge Rinwell’s passion for literature. You can start the Bibliophile sub-quest by returning to the palace library and speaking with the frantic scholar stationed there. This is a different kind of quest, requiring you to find and show the NPC some rare books. Party is rewarded with the standard Pancake recipe for satisfying her academic curiosity, a valuable asset for late-game players looking to maximize yields when harvesting rare ores from mining nodes.
Mahag Saar’s Taste Revelations
The rugged, war-torn geography of Mahag Saar means you’ll need to balance urban scouting with wilderness exploration to fully clean out its recipe book. Once your party finally makes it into the hidden rebel city of Niez, you need to make a beeline for the Dark Wings Headquarters. In this secret meeting place is hidden securely a blue chest with the Horse Sashimi recipe. This raw delicacy is highly sought after by offensive players because it can give a respectable mid-tier boost to your physical attack stats.
Once you leave the safety of the city streets, you must prepare yourself to explore the greater, dangerous wilderness of the realm. A visit to the flooded, beautiful landscape of Adan Lake offers an opportunity to explore the derelict stone structures sitting by the water's edge.
You can obtain the Bouillabaisse recipe by opening the blue chest in the ruins. Similarly, you can find a chest containing the Ice Cream recipe in the narrow, vertical passages of the nearby Adan Ruins, which is a great boost to your magical attacks.
The citizens of Niez will also offer great culinary rewards as they attempt to rebuild their society. Helping the local authorities with the Echoes sub-quest gives you the Roasted Chicken recipe. If you take the time to help Kisara grow as a person and complete the Kisara’s Initiation sub-quest, she will learn the traditional Curry recipe and pass it on.
If you’re into following the local wildlife, you can complete the Owl Sanctuary sub-quest and unlock the Sandwich recipe as a reward. Or if you venture into the Aqfotle Hills, you can complete the Gourmet Saga: Prairie Scent quest and unlock the Vitamin Smoothie.
Ganath Haros’ Exotic Harvest
The verdant, water-filled Ganath Haros environment opens up high-tier late-game recipes that provide huge boosts to your end-game combat loops. Pelegion is a multi-layered city, and if you help a very worried citizen with the Missing Lover side-quest, you’ll be rewarded with the Grilled Rappig recipe for your kindness.
Elsewhere, Shionne’s special map actions can be used to heal an NPC who is badly injured and stranded on a wooden platform when you’re navigating the dangerous, muddy waters of the Lavtu Marshlands. She'll be giving away the whole Sashimi recipe as a thank you for saving her life.

Helping the locals a bit more has even more culinary benefits. Successfully completing the Pelegion’s Renewal sub-quest rewards the party with the hearty Fish Steak recipe, a great way to boost mid-game experience gains. To start the sub-quest, Gourmet Saga: Soft and Fluffy, you need to talk to the inhabitants on the top floors of Pelegion – this is where the food story in this area comes to its peak. Once you conquer this gathering challenge, you'll get the legendary Mabo Curry recipe; a franchise staple that fully restores your combat points after a grueling battle.
For more traditional options, a trip into the freezing heights of the Forland Mountains is well recommended. Walking down the main snowy path, you will come right to a blue chest with the Hamburger recipe inside. But the absolute crown jewel of the Ganath Haros region is the Sushi recipe. To get this high-tier meal, you have to accept and complete the incredibly hard Untamable Rage sub-quest, which will send your party deep into a hidden cavern to destroy a massive high-level boss monster.
Snacks for the Journey and Post-Game Munchies
Your final narrative arc takes the party well beyond the traditional boundaries of Dahna, but the hunt for new flavors is as active as ever. As you reach the advanced, high-sanitized structures of Lenegis, watch for civilian struggles and concealed chests. You’ll get the Fancy Parfait recipe for searching the Residential areas and healing a distraught resident in Residential Zone Sixteen with Shionne’s healing arts. Also, if you explore the cold, metallic corridors of the Maintenance Passageway, you can come across a blue container containing the Shortcake recipe.
Once you’ve beaten the main story and returned to the surface of Dahna for the post-game clean-up phase, the final and most powerful recipes will finally become available. The whimsical questline of Dahna's Tastiest Pancake opens back at the Viscint inn. Once you finish this elaborate post-game story, you get three different variations of the character at once! The Shionne Pancake, the Dohalim Pancake, and the Hootle Pancake. All of these give massive high-tier bonuses to your drop rates and experience gains.
If you’ve explored enough, you can complete the Beyond the Grave questline to unlock exclusive access to the secret Uninhabited Island. To get the elegant Meuniere recipe, search the beach where the local mini-boss is located for a blue chest. The very, very last recipe in the game is to just relax.
Once you complete the main story, you can relax by a campfire and the party will automatically learn the legendary Murus Flegit Porridge recipe after watching the ultimate heartwarming post-game skits, the final, definitive proof of your great culinary mastery across the twin worlds.
