Tales of Arise Guide | How to Get Kisara's Matriarch Martel
Here's a guide on how to get Kisara's Matriarch Martel
Game Guide by Imdeadfrfr on Jun 06, 2026
Tales of Arise features a very tactical and intense real-time combat system where your frontline defensive position directly affects your overall strategic success. When it comes to your diverse roster of travelers, Kisara is your absolute best guardian due to her unrivaled ability to absorb massive amounts of incoming damage. If players want the maximum utility out of her, they need to craft her ultimate shield to make sure she can survive the toughest of end game challenges.

This legendary barrier is known throughout the sovereign realms as the Matriarch Martel, a masterwork of defensive armor. Properly fitted, it grants an unparalleled bonus to her physical and elemental attack stats. It has a phenomenal physical attack rating of 568 and an equally impressive penetration value of 568.
This raw striking strength is combined with a brilliant 540 elemental attack score, greatly improving her own guardian techniques. Having this combat engineering masterpiece under her belt, Kisara is an immovable fortress on the battlefield. Her better blocking skill will stop high tier charging zeugles in their tracks without bending under heavy pressure.
The visual aesthetic of this legendary armament is as majestic as its outstanding numerical attributes. The shield glimmers with a majestic, powerful aura in battle, perfectly embodying her pledge to protect her comrades. This ensures your backline spellcasters will be able to cast their high-tier magic without fear of interruption in absolute safety.
However, making this legendary shield is a very complex and elaborate end-game task that requires a lot of preparation. This amazing defensive wall cannot be bought from a normal village vendor or found in a simple environmental chest. Instead, you’ll need to systematically track down rare materials from monsters lurking in different worlds and parallel universes.
The Precondition of the starred post-game
In the early and mid-game chapters of your journey, you cannot start collecting the ingredients needed for Matriarch Martel. That specialized blueprint will only appear in your crafting window after you reach the very end of the story. Namely, you need to progress your main story until your party returns from the advanced planet of Rena.
At this late stage you may preview the recipe entry, but actually completing the fabrication process is strictly an endgame task. You have to successfully complete the last set of main campaign bosses, and let the emotional credits roll all the way. Then it will prompt you to create a finished clear data save file to store your progress.
This special save slot will be easy to spot in your loading menu with a bright, distinct white star icon. Loading this starred file will get your party back in the world right before the final dungeon, but with advanced activities available. This is your official pass to the top-level zones where the rarest materials can be found.
Starting the Path to the Otherworld
This shield requires a huge amount of the elite crafting components , which are locked away outside of the normal geographic bounds . To find them you have to find a way into a strange parallel universe called Otherworld. In order to unlock this dangerous post-game playground, you have to complete a specific set of local side-quests.
Start your dimensional journey with a visit to the magnificent marble city of Viscint in the wealthy kingdom of Menancia. Look for quest givers on main streets, the ones dealing with strange structural disturbances in the area. You need to accept and complete the first sub-quest, called Another Hillside Anomaly.
This first anomaly will directly unlock a much larger, multi-level post-game assignment called Otherworldly Visitors. This elite questline will enable your vanguard to open massive rift portals hidden across the lands of Dahna. These rifts lead to high-level zones filled with terrifying creatures that have the rarest resources in the game.

Gathering Indomitable Gargantubones from The Wedge
The first major item on your endgame crafting checklist is ten Indomitable Gargantubones. Fortunately, these hardy bones can be removed from the borders of your homeworld before you dive deep into the rifts. If you want to farm armored beasts efficiently you need to target a very specific breed of beasts.
Set your fast travel coordinates directly to the massive structural phenomenon your party knows as The Wedge. Proceed through the maze-like area with winding, organic corridors until you come across dangerous four-legged enemies called Armatus Bos. You can also track their very similar counterparts called the Armatus Equus in the same regions.
These monsters have big health bars and are heavily armored. They use aggressive physical lunges to disrupt the formation of your team. You are highly advised to take control of Alphen manually and unleash quick sword combos to speed up this farm. Use Kisara's special shield boost attack to stop them dead in their tracks and put them down right away.
Grounding these huge beasts leaves them utterly helpless allowing Law to unleash his high velocity martial arts loops. Continue clearing these monster packs and resetting the map zones until all ten gargantubones are safely in your inventory. The drop rate increase accessory for the item can help make this gathering phase much shorter.
Gathering Incendiary Scales from the Gegham Helgarahi
When finishing your hunting trip in the depths of The Wedge you will have to change your travel coordinates. You need a grand total of two Incendiary Scales for the next material on your mandatory crafting checklist. You have to walk through the sterile, technological corridors of a late-stage facility to find them.
Bring your party straight to the biological research zones inside the Gegham Helgarahi structure. Watch out for swarms of Blast Bees, hostile, flying insectoid zeugles, in the mechanical chambers. These nimble aerial foes dart about with surprising speed, shooting poisonous stingers and swooping down in coordinated diving attacks against your spellcasters.
They never stop flying, you know, and they’re very annoying to hit with basic close-combat physical combos. Utilize Shionne's special anti-air rifle boost strike to cleanly pick these buzzing fiends out of the sky. Once they slam into the ground, quickly finish them off with wide area-of-effect elemental magic.
You only need 2 scales so this particular farming step should take a relatively short amount of time. Check the post-battle rewards screen to make sure both items have actually dropped before leaving. If the bees don't drop their scales, just leave the room and the enemy group will respawn.
Harvesting Gloaming Crystals Otherworldly Punishers
The third rare resource on your end-game crafting list takes you right through the swirling dimensional rift portals. You will need two Gloaming Crystals for the Matriarch Martel recipe – these are incredibly rare drops from elite otherworldly knights. These precious gems can only be harvested by confronting the dangerous entities known as Punishers.
Punishers are huge, heavy warriors, who wield heavy weapons and have massive physical defensive armor. These behemoth enemies are roaming the early sectors of the Otherworld dungeons entered through the quest rifts. Thanks to their great physical resilience and unbreakable stance, it takes heavy repeated pressure from your frontline to break their guard.
Directly strike their heavy armor shields with Law's physical boost to immediately break their guard stance. Stun them briefly, then have Alphen use his most devastating techniques with his flaming sword, at the expense of his health. This coordinated burst of aggression will quickly eat through their large health pools, guaranteeing a fast victory.
It is advised to consume a cooked meal at a campsite that increases your overall item drop rate before fighting these knights. If the crystals don’t drop immediately after a fight, you can easily reset the zone by traveling to a neighboring map area. You need to have patience with this farming stage as you just have to get two brilliant crystals.
Killing Immortal Figures for Statue Hearts
This last monster that drops the component needed for the arcane synthesis takes you further into the parallel dimensions. You must successfully collect a pair of rare items called Statue Hearts, known to scholars. One of the most physically resilient construct monsters in the post-game ecosystems guards these mystical stones.

To locate them, guide your high-level party through the rifts until you find the massive Immortal Figures. These animated stone statues use huge sweeping arm strikes and tracking lasers that can easily decimate an underprepared vanguard. They are immune to standard light physical hits because they are rocky, and heavy elemental magic is needed.
Use Rinwell to unleash her strongest high-tier astral artes from a safe distance, exploiting their elemental weaknesses. Shionne meanwhile should provide consistent long range healing support to keep the party’s overall stability. Once you successfully smash these living monuments into dust, the two required Statue Hearts will be yours.
Gathering Gald and Performing the Final Fabrication
Trying this project is only the first part of the battle to get your great collection of rare monster drops. Legendary as their labors may be, the elite craftsmen who work throughout the lands of Dahna require a considerable financial investment to accomplish their tasks. Specifically, you are required to pay a flat forging fee of 22,880 Gald to complete the transaction.
Getting this particular sum of currency in the post game content is pretty easy if you know where to look. Kickstart your massive cash payouts by taking on high-tier solo and group trials at the localized Training Grounds. Or you can quickly fill up your coin purse by selling off excess duplicate lower-tier monster materials or valuable mined ore commodities.
Once you’ve secured your funds, visit any major city blacksmith or the versatile merchant terminal at any campsite. Get the special weapon crafting menu and jump straight to the special equipment tab for Kisara. The crafting interface will automatically consume your hard-won materials and coins to synthesize the legendary shield.
When you equip the Matriarch Martel, Kisara instantly becomes an absolute godlike combat monster for all remaining content. Her advanced guardian skills will hit with monumental force, providing the staggering capabilities needed to easily dominate optional super-bosses. This ultimate shield is a proud symbol of your total domination over the ultimate post game challenges of the game.
