In Winter Burrow, the Flint Pickaxe functions as an upgrade from both your regular pickaxe and the Granite Pickaxe. It offers one step more impact, giving you the ability to break open additional rocks and certain critters for improved resources.

How to Get the Flint Pickaxe

To get the Flint Pickaxe, you need to finish Bufo’s main quest line, which focuses on locating Pollywog. The process requires several tasks in Winter Burrow, each leading to the next.

Quest Steps

Your first task is to find Pollywog, Bufo’s Tadpole, by heading south. Once found, you prepare and deliver two pies to Bufo: one Blackberry Pie and one Rowanberry Pie. The recipes for both pies are already available to you.

After giving the pies to Bufo, you return to Pollywog with the Wooden Key that Bufo provides. When the key is delivered, you head back to Bufo and move through the final step of the chain. When Pollywog finally reunites with Bufo, Bufo rewards you by handing over the crafting recipe for the Flint Pickaxe.

Crafting the Flint Pickaxe

When you receive the recipe, you can return to your woodworking station in the burrow. The Flint Pickaxe option appears under the Woodworking section. Crafting requires one Flint, one Silk Yarn, two Birch Wood, and one Pine Plank in Winter Burrow.
