Pine Wood is a resource you will use throughout your progress in Winter Burrow, and keeping a supply in your burrow helps you craft Pine Planks, which are required for story progression and various items.

Where to Get Pine Wood

To gather Pine Wood, travel to Shadow Pines, located north of Bufo’s Home and north-east of Moss’ Home. This is the same area where you meet Gnawtusk in Winter Burrow.

As you move through Shadow Pines, you will notice dark brown logs spread across the ground. These logs often block the way into darker sections of the area, which require a Lantern to explore.

How to Collect Pine Wood

As you get closer to these logs, use your axe to cut them up into smaller pieces that you can pick up. It takes more swings to move bigger logs, but they give you more Pine Wood in Winter Burrow.

You can also find a steady supply of Pine Wood north of Bufo’s Home. Exit through the north side of the house and continue north until you pass the tree with a scarf caught at the top. Just beyond this tree, you will usually find a pile of Pine Wood ready to harvest.
