Assassin's Creed Movie: Ubisoft and New Regency Collaborate

Ubisoft and New Regency have announced that they have partnered for the much anticipated Assassin's Creed film. The announcement coming soon after actor Michael Fassbender joined the project with President and CEO of New Regency calling the partnership "even more irresistible."
Ubisoft Motion Pictures was created in January 2011 bringing many of Ubisoft's video games to film and television. They continue to do so in collaboration with New Regency as both companies have similar views about the creation of the Assassin's Creed film. Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Ubisoft Motion pictures has said “Ubisoft chose to partner with New Regency because they are a talent- and filmmaker-driven company, with the same independent and creative mindset that we have at Ubisoft Motion Pictures.”

Ubisoft and New Regency are a good pair as they both have similiar creative views about the film.
Development of a screenplay has immediately begun with Ubisoft controlling the films creative direction. Ubisoft wishes to maintain creative and financial flexibility where New Regency will use their expertise in production and distribution. This will ensure fans of the video game that Assassin's Creed will be a high quality film respecting the games franchise.
