The final stretch of Silver Pines requires you to track down three specific ritual spikes to breach the heart of the area.

Along the way, you need to repair an old payphone, decipher a wall code, and assemble a shattered key. Here is how to complete each puzzle step and open the way forward.

Payphone & Wall Code Solution

Near the start of the lower tunnel complex, step through the doorway just before the bank of glowing televisions into the save room. Look at the wall on the left side of the room to spot a painted phone code. Be sure to note this sequence before heading back out.

Next, you have to find two parts to get the main tunnel phone working again. Head to the far-left dead end of the lower pipe route and break the weak wall with your Sledgehammer to collect the Cassette Tape in Silver Pines.

Take it past the locked rusted gate, enter the bedroom with the television sitting on the bed, and slide the tape inside. The unit blows up and leaves the first Metal Spike behind.

Silver Pines Ending Area

To find the missing dial, cross the walkway gap, climb down the access ladder directly below the jump point, and pick up the Rotary Dial off the floor.

Return to the red-glowing corridor where the broken phone hangs on the wall. Go to your inventory and attach the Rotary Dial to the body of the telephone. Dial the code that is written on the wall in the save room. Once the call finishes, check the coin return tray to grab the second Broken Key half.

Crafting the Bloodied Key

Next to the phone, you can find a Broken Key half lying by the receiver. Once you retrieve the matching piece from the telephone coin slot, open your inventory and combine both pieces together in Silver Pines.

Merging the fragments creates the Bloodied Key. Walk over to the padlocked security gate directly to the left, slide the key into the tumbler, and grab the second Metal Spike embedded inside the carcass.

Restoring Lower Circuit

To access the lowest pit containing the final spike, you must shut down the active junction box on the path below.

Climb the upper ladders past the bedroom area, swing through the raised gate, and grab the Wire Cutter.

Walk back down to the sloping pathway leading toward the southern gate. Interact with the sparking breaker box and cut both exposed wires to safely kill the current running through the gate in Silver Pines.

Solving Tree Puzzle

To awaken the tree at the end of the bright white corridor, you need to drive three Metal Spike items into its trunk.

The first Metal Spike comes from the shattered television inside the bedroom after you insert the Cassette Tape.

The second Metal Spike is pulled from the carcass inside the locked cell opened by the Bloodied Key.

The third Metal Spike lies deep within the lower tunnels. Pass through the unlocked gate past the cut electrical box, drop all the way down the ladder shaft at the end of the stairs, and follow the bottom passageway left until you reach the far wall. Pull the final spike directly out of the stone surface in Silver Pines.

Carry all three spikes back to the white-glowing corridor and interact with the trunk to hammer each Metal Spike into place. Driving in the final spike breaks the barrier and triggers the encounter.
