The Union Apartments in Silver Pines will stop your progress cold if you do not know where to look. Between shut-off intercoms, hidden apartment codes, and missing tokens, the building is packed with roadblocks. Here is how you solve every puzzle inside and grab the keys you need to keep moving.

Bypass Front Intercom

When you first step into the lobby of the Union Apartments, you cannot simply walk upstairs. You need to get past the locked inner door first in Silver Pines.

Grab the Utility Room Key from the box on the wall to your left, then grab the Union Apartment Building Map from the right wall.

Step back outside the building, head down the stairs on the right, and use your key to unlock the Utility Room. Flip on your flashlight, walk left to the intercom panel, and switch it off.

Now, walk back to the front entrance of the apartments. Use the lobby intercom panel to buzz Alice Baker in Apartment 4B. Once the conversation ends, the inner door on your right clicks open.

Finding All Four Laundry Tokens

To reach the third floor, you must power the washing machine in the Laundry Room using four hidden tokens scattered across the property in Silver Pines.

You can grab the first Laundry Token right inside the Supervisor’s Office on the first floor, sitting on top of the cabinet.

For the second token, head up to the second-floor corridor just past Apartment 2B. Defeat the spitting enemy near the gate and pick up the token resting on the pile of laundry.

The remaining two tokens are down in the Basement. Walk into the Storage Rooms, enter the second storage unit, and pull the third token out of the bag on the floor.

Finally, head into the Laundry Room across the hall, walk into the back section, and head all the way to the far left to find the fourth token inside another bag.

Once you have gathered all four, head back to the front area of the Laundry Room. Feed the four Laundry Tokens into the washing machine, open the door, and collect the Union Level 3 Key in Silver Pines.

Hidden Basement Locker Code

Opening the locked storage cage in the Basement requires you to uncover a message painted over in Apartment 1C.

Start by heading to Apartment 2B on the second floor. Grab the empty bottles off the kitchen floor, interact with the Alcohol Still on the chair, and fill one up to get a Bottle of Alcohol.

Then go upstairs, and into Apartment 3C, on the third floor. Use your crowbar to shatter the bathroom mirror, crawl through into Apartment 3B, and exit back out to the third-floor hallway in Silver Pines.

Unlock the hallway gate, walk through Apartment 3A, and step out onto the broken balcony. Drop down to the second-floor balcony below to get inside Apartment 2A. Walk into the kitchen and pick up the Dried Up Paint Solvent off the floor.

Open your inventory and combine the Dried Up Paint Solvent with the Bottle of Alcohol to create working Paint Solvent. Now take the stairs down to the first floor and enter Apartment 1C. Head into the bedroom and use the solvent on the painted wall to reveal the code: 1525.

Head down to the Storage Rooms in the Basement, punch 1525 into the first storage gate, and grab the gasoline and bottle from the table to craft a Molotov Cocktail in Silver Pines.

Office Door Code

The locked inner door inside the Supervisor’s Office requires you to match four residents mentioned on the notice board to their apartment numbers.

On the board are newspaper clippings about an artist, a cat owner, a writer, and a resident being stalked.

As you walk through the building, you can tell which apartment each tenant lived in. The artist lived in Apartment 1C, the cat lady lived in Apartment 3A, the writer stayed in Apartment 2A, and the stalker victim was in Apartment 3C in Silver Pines.

Punch the sequence 1C - 3A - 2A - 3C into the door lock. Inside the private room, grab the Floor 4 Button and the 1911 Service Pistol off the desk. Carry the button to the hallway elevator, install it into the panel, and take the lift up to the fourth floor.

Q. Where do you find the key for Apartment 4B?

A. Ride the elevator up to the fourth floor and enter the room marked with the phone sign to find the roof stairs. Head left across the rooftop until you reach the large sign letters. Check the diary page sitting near the letters to pick up the Apartment 4B Key in Silver Pines.

Q. How do you get inside Apartment 2A if the hallway gate is locked?

A. You cannot enter Apartment 2A directly from the second-floor hallway at first. You must climb up to the third floor, cut through Apartment 3C and Apartment 3B, walk through Apartment 3A, and drop down from the broken exterior balcony onto the second-floor balcony below.

Q. What do you get for feeding the hole in the ruined house?

A. After defeating the boss and crossing the water, pick up the Injured Bird waiting at the dead end past the diary page. Bring the bird to the ruined house marked with the word "Hunger" on the wall, feed it to the hole, and the creature will spit out the Cable Station Bell (D) in Silver Pines.
