Blizzard announces the maximum level for Diablo 3

Blizzard recently announced what will be the limit for the evolution of the characters in Diablo 3: Level 60. Nothing too exciting at first, it's true. There are, of course, a good explanation for the choice, an explanation that goes beyond the obvious "they are parodying World of Warcraft", of course.
According to a Blizzard's representative, Bashiok, the choice of level came after a long brainstorm for content and experience expected for the game. The time taken to climb the levels will not be the same as Diablo II. Reaching level 60 in Diablo 2 does not take the same time you reach level 60 in Diablo 3." In other words, "do not imagine that there will be less content and more powerful characters"

In Diablo 3 the sky remains the limit, but with fewer breaks. "I would even say that our characters seem more powerful," adds Bashiok. "So instead of letting it drag through the game by 80 or more levels without much sense, as we saw in Diablo 2, we have 60 levels, and each level you will have a noticeable jump in power."
Furthermore, the representative stated that "the evolution of the characters have to stop somewhere", as the strength of the game will be the hunt for items. And what's more, the choice, according to the representative, still has "tons of benefits caused by very high levels."
We are sorry to say this but there's no word about the release date. This is the same classic response: When it's ready...
