Borderlands 3's Third DLC Called Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption, Hints at Krieg's Return

Borderlands 3's third DLC campaign has been confirmed as Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption. With the DLC hinting at the possible return of everyone's favorite Psycho.

Players will travel to the desert planet of Gehenna to claim the bounty on the Devil Riders. A gang that has been terrorizing a small town called Vestige and join up with new heroes Rose and Juno.

The new mechanics include the new Jetbeast hoverbike that is half beast half machine.

“For the Vault Hunter, it’s the Jetbeast, which is half jetbike, and half creature,” and can be outfitted with artillery like dual machine guns or mortar weapons. There’s also a slew of interactable objects found only on Gehenna that will aid you in combat and exploration. For instance, the Traitorweed can temporarily turn enemies into allies, while the Breezebloom will lift your Vault Hunter to great heights so you can reach otherwise-out-of-reach areas. And of course, there’ll be loads of new loot to chase after, including plenty of Western-themed weaponry.

The final image shown in the promotional article shows a familiar face, Krieg. For those unaware, Krieg was a DLC Vault Hunter introduced in Borderlands 2. While never shown in Borderlands 3 you can find an ECHO log of him.

This wouldn't be a surprise as Gaige appeared in the previous DLC Guns, Love, and Tentacles. It'll be interesting to see Krieg if he does appear considering what happened to Maya and his love for her.

Borderlands 3 is now available for PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Stadia.
