Borderlands Legends Lands on iOS Devices

As several franchises have expanded to the mobile space (Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, to name a few), so too does Borderlands. 2K Games recently announced that Borderlands Legends is now available for iOS devices. "By offering a high-quality Borderlands experience designed specifically for mobile devices,” 2K president Christoph Hartmann said, “fans can immerse themselves in the world of Pandora no matter where they are."

Borderlands Legends won’t feature anything from Borderlands 2. Rather, you’ll be playing as the original vault hunters from the first game (Roland, Lilith, Mordecai, and Brick). The game is a mix of both action-RPG and tactical strategy, presented in a top down/isometric perspective, and you’ll control all four characters at once. It features a touch menu screen that lets you navigate between inventory and skill tree management. It seems convenient, since there are quite a few menus to deal with. Also, maps in Legends are randomly generated. In other words, replaying a mission will not turn out identical to how you previously did it.

You can download the game now on the App Store for $4.99 for the iPhone and $6.99 for the iPad. And like its console counterparts, Borderlands Legends will have a multitude of guns. Bazillion guns, to be exact. Not as much as gazillion, but what can you do. Watch the launch trailer below.
