Canada! PS Vita with 3G and Wi-Fi Coming Your Way, Eh?

Currently Canadian gamers can only purchase the Wi-Fi model of the PlayStation Vita. Since its release in February Canadian gamers have been wondering if a 3G model would be released. Wait and wonder no longer.

Come this October, the 3G/Wi-Fi model of the PlayStation Vita will be available to purchase in Canada. For the launch of this model a bundle will be up for grabs which includes a download voucher for two PS Vita exclusive games: Gravity Rush and Unit 13. The bundle will be on-sale for $299.
 

The 3G/Wi-Fi model is available in Canada on 10/2.

Wireless connectivity will be provided by Rogers Communications for the 3G enabled PS Vita and Rogers Control Centre will power the built in Wi-Fi through a specialized SIM card. Rogers data packages will be available on a month-to-month basis enabling 3G model users to access turn-based, asynchronous multiplayer gameplay. The data packages will allow for instant updates of ranks, leaderboards, and immediate access to DLC and community news.

The PlayStation Vita 3G/Wi-Fi model can be purchased in Canada on October 2nd.
