E3 2010: Bulletstorm Feb 2011

News by Craig Bryan on  Jun 15, 2010

Bulletstorm is a futuristic shooter, developed by People Can Fly, and how fitting that name truly is. From what we’ve seen of this over-the-top first-person, high-octane, gun-slinging craze fest we’re rather excited about what it has to offer.

It gets its unique feel because of it’s seemingly fancy-free approach. It’s slapdash improvisation and rag doll physics, combined with some pretty nifty combos almost gives it the feel of a fighter. It also introduces a ‘kill and skill’ technique that sees you racking up points in an achievement-esque format as you toy with enemies, with a selection of ‘killshots’ you’re able to pull off for big scores.

The game is also made in collaboration with Epic Games, who are probably most famous for their work with the Unreal Engine, which games such as BioShock, Unreal Tournament, Deus Ex, Borderlands, and even Harry Potter have all made use of over the years.

It’s set for release of February 22nd in North America, and February 25th in Europe. Stay tuned for more info on this game as and when we discover it.
