EA announces Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed

EA just released Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit today (U.S.) and has already announced Need for Speed Shift 2 Unleashed. The title will be released in the first quarter of 2011 and, unlike Hot Pursuit, it is a racing simulator . Executive producer Marcus Nilsson said a few words about the project:
"SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED is set in a racing environment, mixing the excitement of ripping the track at incredible speeds with the emotional experience of competitive battles. We are also working closely with pilots of the real world to ensure that SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED capture their experiences and become a reference for authentic racing action. "
The official announcement also revealed some news. The possibility of using camera perspective of the pilot's helmet - something like what appears at the end of the trailer above. The damage system is no longer limited to the cars, because now the tracks could be affected by accidents or simply by the passage of vehicles over 320 km / h.
You can also run at night and compete online. Needless to mention that the developers have promised improvements in graphics over the first NFS: Shift, making the simulation even more realistic.
