Fallout MMORPG Art Surfaces
News by Tim on Nov 02, 2009
On Friday, to bolster its argument in a suit with Bethesda, Interplay released some concept-art images for their highly-secretive massively multiplayer role-playing game, code-named Project V13. The first three pictures show various post-apocalyptic locations, ranging from a city, to a desert, and even a crashed plane. The last picture shows a "Wastelander" wielding two energy pistols and a shotgun. Project V13 lead, Chris Taylor, warned fans that "this is concept art. It's not finalized art, but it will give you a feel for what we are aiming for with V13."

In this increasingly nasty suit, Bethesda alleges that Interplay has "failed to commence full-scale development... and to secure certain funding for the MMOG [V13]." After the original suit, Interplay countersued Bethesda for breach of contract, hoping to maintain limited advertising rights to the Fallout franchise, and possibly even reverse the 2007 agreement between the two parties, giving the whole Fallout intellectual property back to Interplay.
