God of War III wreaks havoc March 16

Still curious when God of War III will launch? Well look no further, because the game will officially hit store shelves on March 16, 2010.  For a while now, Sony hasn't given a solid release date for the game. But in the publisher's official Playstation blog, that issue has been resolved.

 

As the game will be available as a standard edition ($59.99), there will also be an ‘Ultimate Edition,' in which the price for the package will start at $99.99.  The God of War III Ultimate Edition will come as a Pandora's Box-style package. In addition to the game itself, players who purchase this version will also be showered with downloadable content, various in-game bonuses, soundtrack of the whole trilogy, and an art book. Sony has also announced in the blog that they will also reduce the price of God of War Collection to $29.99.

 

God of War III will finally conclude this dark, epic trilogy. Kratos will engage in an epic confrontation with Zeus and the other gods, leading up to the downfall of Mount Olympus. As in the two previous installments, Kratos will get to dismember and mutilate foes, as well as to fight gargantuan boss battles with the mighty titans.
