Green Day: Rock Band

It’s the latest craze and everybody seems to want a piece of the Guitar Hero-Rock Band phenomena that’s hit the world. Aerosmith, Van Halen and The Beatles have all been given the rhythm game treatment and each one has gone on to be a success. Not to mention Rock Band 2, Lego Rock Band, Band Hero and Guitar Hero 5 are all selling in their hoards this holiday season.

It’s the turn of Green Day this time around, and while fans have been able to enjoy playing tracks off of the bands latest album 21st Century Breakdown; this new game will enable them to play songs from the punk rock trio’s entire back catalogue. Including rock classics such as American Idiot, Basket Case and Jesus of Suburbia, as well as the more subtle tones of Good Riddance and Wake Me up When September Ends.

No official track listing has been announced as of yet, but what has been confirmed as expected is that it will be released on all major consoles, and that all tracks will be exportable to Rock Band and Rock Band 2 games on the Xbox and PlayStation formats.
