GTA 6 to Appear at the State of Play Trailer 3 on Tuesday
Multiple insiders believe Rockstar could finally be preparing another GTA 6 reveal, even as Take-Two says the game’s major marketing push has not officially started yet.

It is now the last week of May, and, amazingly enough, Rockstar Games still hasn't released Trailer 3 for Grand Theft Auto 6. Instead, what you have gotten in the meantime is a huge update by the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, who announced that the game remains on track for release on November 19, 2026.
GTA 6 Trailer 3 Rumored to Drop on Tuesday as Another State of Play Talk Begins. This is why it mattered even more that the game would not be delayed, as this should have happened if that were the case. Corporations are known to respond to delays with new marketing strategies whenever possible, especially for a massive release like GTA 6.

Take-Two decided not to announce a delay and continued working as planned during the scheduled release period.
As for Zelnick’s other comments during the interview, he was once again faced with the question of the lack of any GTA 6 marketing. The executive did not provide a detailed action plan from Rockstar for the upcoming video game's marketing activities. However, his reply was rather precise; he mentioned that marketing for the title would start in the summertime. In addition, he said it is still spring, so the marketing period has not started yet.
This is because a new report has emerged that, unlike most other rumors surrounding GTA 6, has piqued the interest of even those who typically ignore insider information. According to an insider named Graczdari, the trailer 3 for GTA 6 is scheduled for release on Tuesday.
In addition, Rockstar has reportedly shared information about GTA 6 with Sony for Sony's State of Play presentation. Of course, in most cases, a statement like this would be completely ignored, given the number of fake reports about the GTA 6 leak. The thing is, Graczdari has recently earned quite a good reputation for predicting certain developments in the gaming industry.
For instance, Graczdari once leaked the boxed edition of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered before its official announcement. Moreover, he has been known for leaking the port of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 to PS5. What is more, he released reliable information associated with the delays in bringing the Switch 2 port of 007.
Finally, it is worth noting that Graczdari is among the few who have refuted the recent speculation about pre-ordering GTA 6 through the Best Buy mail campaign.
Everyone at the time thought the pre-orders were legitimate, as they were sent via authentic emails. It was then that Graczdari came in and stated that although the emails might have been legit, the information they contained regarding the pre-orders was not. This proved to be right and helped establish Graczdari's credibility in dealing with this rumor.
Now, some well-known leakers are coming out to support him. Curicasis reacted to this rumor by saying his "spider sense" was tingling, telling him it was true. Though he did not confirm anything outright, he was quite clear that Graczdari was his go-to guy for reliable info. Another insider, the Ghost of Hope, was quick to jump on the bandwagon, stating he believed there could indeed be something to the rumors.
However, the main counterpoint to all this remains Strauss Zelnick's previous statements that marketing does not start until summer. People immediately saw this quote and concluded that any chance of a new trailer appearing in May was simply impossible. There is an alternative interpretation of what Zelnick meant by this term.

Marketing for many firms, like Take-Two, can mean a paid advertisement campaign in which commercials are shown on television, on billboards, and on websites, and partnerships and collaborations of all types are organized. It may be that internal trailers do not count as marketing in their eyes. Looking at it this way, it seems to make perfect sense.
After all, Trailers 1 and 2 have been released, along with screenshots, but Take-Two still maintains that marketing hasn’t even begun yet.
This indicates that the company sees these trailer drops as anything but an expense incurred in the overall marketing rollout. Rather, they are most likely seen as internal promotional videos that do not cost the company much money at all. And in all fairness, it makes sense. It is unnecessary for Rockstar to spend additional funds to get people excited every time it drops a new GTA 6 trailer.
That's what the entire paid campaign is meant for, and it will most definitely take up a lot of the game's marketing budget. In fact, it is so important that the timing of Take-Two's official announcement of marketing expenses is always closely watched. Once the campaign starts, you can expect to see GTA 6 ads plastered across almost any place imaginable.
The timing of Trailer 3's release date has also made this information particularly interesting. Tuesday falls at the time GTA 6 was originally scheduled to be released, but Rockstar has since pushed it back to November. People have taken this timing as an indicator that this particular day may be selected for announcements or trailers.
It has not been confirmed by any reliable sources as yet, however. Even those who say it will happen are not completely sure. At the moment, it remains nothing more than a rumor, even though it comes from somewhat reliable sources. Another one that is getting increasing speculation on what Rockstar might reveal at the upcoming Sony State of Play event.
In reality, if there will be any reveal at all for GTA 6 at this event, do not expect to see Rockstar releasing Trailer 3 via the PlayStation presentation itself.
Rather, what seems much more plausible is something on a smaller scale. That could be an extremely short promotional video clip, less than a minute long, made using footage gamers have already seen. Its primary aim could be announcing a marketing collaboration between PlayStation and Rockstar just before launch. And then we could even have hardware-related revelations related to the next entry in the GTA franchise.

A PlayStation pack tied to GTA 6 appears extremely likely at some point, particularly taking into account how huge an impact the release will make. There are also possibilities for additional, smaller items, such as a special-edition DualSense controller inspired by GTA 6. Nothing too unexpected about that, since the two companies already have a pretty long-standing relationship, and the release of GTA 6 promises to make one hell of a splash across the globe.
Another reason to believe Sony is planning to reveal something really interesting is the hype the company is building around the upcoming State of Play. Reportedly, the company has been reaching out to content creators and even inviting them to a theater to watch the event. Whether it becomes GTA 6 or something else remains to be seen; however, one thing is for sure: Rockstar Games might be cooking up a plan larger than expected.
The last piece of information from Strauss Zelnick's interview considered his statement about the marketing strategy Rockstar intends to adopt for GTA 6. It is significant because players and other fans of the games are currently speculating about the moves Rockstar may make, using the strategies implemented when GTA 5 was launched.
As mentioned by Zelnick, it won’t be that easy this time because Rockstar is playing by a completely different set of rules. So, while fans continue to speculate about Trailer 3, Rockstar itself seems to have different plans for the launch of its latest game.
