New Humble Bundle Brings a Brand-New Game to the Table
News by Bruno Sampaio on Nov 04, 2011
By now you should be familiarized with the Humble Bundle: they are, putting it simply, a group of independent developers that get together and offer their games (in the form of a bundle) for any price you want to pay. part of the money goes to the devs themselves and the site's maintenance, but most of the money is donated to charity, more specifically Child's Play and the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation). that way you help charity and win games for it. and if you pay more than the average price, you get some extra games!
This bundle's star is Voxatron, a game made solely with voxels (google it). Voxatron plays from a top-down perspective and can be better described as "what if 3D Dot Game Heroes was an arena shooter". Right now Voxatron is on alpha stage, so by getting it now you'll have access to any and all future updates, including a level editor. And since the game uses nice lil cubes for everything, making stuff shouldn't be hard.

Any similarities with a certain PS3 game are fruit of your imagination.
What's more, if you pay more than the average (around US$ 4,90 at the time of writing), you also take home The Binding of Isaac and Blocks That Matter. Both games are undergoing review process by yours truly right now, but i can tell you this: it's worth it, it's cheap, and you're helping kids with cancer. why haven't you bought it yet?
The Humble Voxatron Debut (that's the official name of the bundle) will go until the 14th, but that doesn't mean you should wait to donate. if more games are added (and they usually are), you'll receive them at no additional cost, as a way of saying thanks for buying early.
