No Dead Rising 2 until September

Dead Rising 2 was originally set to be released on August 31. A recent Capcom press release says otherwise, which says that the game will instead launch on September 28 in North America, September 30 for Japan, and October 1st in Europe.

 

Capcom hasn’t explained any reason for the delay whatsoever, choosing to ignore the part entirely. It could be a marketing strategy, deciding to release the game during the Holiday season. It could be they’re trying to sell more copies of Dead Rising 2 or delayed it to polish the game more, making sure it is actually ready for release – we may never know until Capcom explains the situation in detail.

 

Dead Rising 2 is also scheduled to come out for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.
