Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD delayed

PC gamers who have bought the Oddbox through Steam will have to wait a little longer until they'll be able to play Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath in full HD.

It was promised that, once Stranger's Wrath HD came out for the Playstation 3, PC gamers would receive a free patch that'd upgrade their version to HD as well. But now that the PS3 version has been delayed to the summer, this means that PC aficionados will have to wait a little longer as well.

This news is the latest addition to a series of drawbacks and disappointments. Stranger's Wrath and indeed the entire Oddbox received a mellow reception: the games were plagued by problematic controls and interface, performance issues and an overall lack of stability.

Stranger's Wrath in particular also suffered from missing textures and some other bugs and glitches, which made it questionable whether this sloppy port to the amazing 2005 Xbox original should've been released at all.

Hopefully, the HD patch will also improve the stabilty and performance of the game, so that people who didn't own an Xbox back in '05 will finally know what they have been missing out on all these years. We'll find out this summer.
