Since its release earlier this month, players had quite a bit of time to chase Eothas across the Deadfire Archipelago in Pillars Of Eternity II: Deadfire. With player feedback rolling in, Executive Producer Adam Brennecke took to Steam to talk about the upcoming 1.1 update. The first major patch for the title will contain "hundreds of fixes and refinements", completely overhauling the Veteran and Path of the Damned difficulties by adjusting level scaling and adding more enemies per encounter. The patch will also add an option to skip the introduction when replaying the campaign, as well as new cosmetic options, with the possibility of changing character apperance at any time.
In the meantime, the first free DLC for Pillars Of Eternity II: Deadfire is out today. The Rum Runner's Pack adds a new sidekick called Mirke, a drunken idle animation and several alcoholic beverages. More free DLC is planned for the coming months, the next one releasing in two weeks. Three expansions are also planned to come out this year. Give the announcement a read.
It's great to hear that Veteran and Path of the Damned difficulties are being adjusted, as I found battles to be too easy when I reviewed Pillars Of Eternity II: Deadfire.
