If you just want to clear the main story of Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, stop Dracula, and roll the standard credits, the Normal Ending is what you want. Here is the exact path you need to take to get through the final castle section and reach the ending.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Beating Dracula Second Phase

Getting Past Cursed Horologium Trap

As you climb higher into Dracula's Castle, you will eventually find your way blocked at the Clock Tower. Right before you can push forward, you will run into a massive, magical clock known as the Cursed Horologium.

If you try to walk straight past it without doing anything, you walk right into a trap that triggers the bad ending instead. To avoid that, you have to dispel the barrier blocking your way in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

When you inspect the device, Rose Belmont will mention that Death's magic lingers around it. That is your cue to change your loadout:

Open your menu and go to your Arcana setup.

Equip Death's Arcana, titled Soul Harvest.

Walk back up to the Cursed Horologium and interact with it.

Activating the device while holding Soul Harvest breaks the spell and safely clears the path through the tower.

The Gauntlet to Dracula's Lair

Once the clock trap is gone, you are not quite at the throne room yet. The game throws a tough obstacle course at you right away:

Platforming Challenges: You will need to jump through moving gears and fragile platforms. Time your dashes carefully so you do not fall into the spikes below in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

Enemy Waves: Strong castle minions will attack you on narrow ledges. Clear them out from range before committing to long jumps.

Take your time through this gauntlet so you do not burn through your healing items before the main event.

Defeating Dracula

At the end of the path, you will step into the throne room for the final confrontation against Dracula.

This fight plays out across two separate phases:

Phase One: Dracula teleports around the room, casting flame pillars and bat swarms. Focus on dodging his fireballs, get a couple of hits in while he recovers, and back away before he retaliates.

Phase Two: Dracula takes on a far more aggressive, monstrous form with wider attack hitboxes. Watch the floor markers to dodge his sweeping attacks, and strike his head whenever he leans down.

Once you take down his second form, the standard cutscene plays out. You will finish the storyline, view the credits, and unlock The Hunt Goes On trophy/achievement in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

FAQ

Q. What happens if I go past the Cursed Horologium without Soul Harvest?

A. If you ignore the clock and walk through the door on the left without breaking the spell, Rose Belmont gets ambushed, fails against Dracula, and you trigger the game's Bad Ending instead.

Q. Can I still get the True Ending after beating Dracula on this path?

A. Yes. After beating the boss and watching the credits, choose the option to resume your save with all your current gear. That allows you to complete the remaining side quests and cure Rose Belmont without starting a brand-new file.

Q. Where do I find the Soul Harvest Arcana?

A. You earn Soul Harvest naturally as part of the main story progression tied to Death's realm before reaching the final climb up the Clock Tower. Make sure it is slotted in your active spells before touching the clock.
