You have to take down Death to get the Vampire Killer. Reaching the fight takes some work. Here is how to complete every requirement, open the path to Notre Dame, and claim your reward.

Prerequisite Quests

You cannot rush straight to this weapon early on. Before you can even set foot in the zone where it drops, you need to handle two key bosses and clear a specific questline.

First, make your way to the Clock Tower and defeat The Builder. Beating this boss rewards you with the Smash ability, which lets you destroy heavy stone obstacles blocking your path.

Next, head into the Library and beat The Occultist. Once you win that encounter, you will pick up an item called Brauner's Paintbrush. With the brush in your bag, you can finish The Artist Tarot Card Quest in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

Reaching Notre Dame

Once you wrap up those initial fights, your next stop is the Main Hall. Look for Brauner's Atelier. Inside, you will spot a large statue. Smash it open with your smash ability and unlock Brauner's Masterpiece Arcana.

Now head down to the room directly below the atelier, known as the Gallery of Eternal Night. Open your menu, equip the Brauner's Masterpiece Arcana, and walk up to inspect the large painting in the room. This interaction warps Rose straight into Notre Dame in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

Solving Organ Puzzle & Beating Death

Once you arrive in Notre Dame, you cannot walk right into the boss arena. The door leading forward is blocked by dark magic.

Head over to the Great Organ Room. Inside, you will find the Giant Organ. You need to clear the magic clogging the pipes by playing specific melodies on the keys in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

Pay close attention to the visual hints left around the area to input the right sequence. Once you play the correct notes, the seal breaks, clearing the way into the Choir Room.

Inside the Choir Room, you will face Death. This is widely considered one of the toughest fights in the game. You will want to hunt down as many stat upgrades as you can find across the map and level up Rose before stepping inside.

Expect to die a few times while learning attack patterns. Keep your distance, watch your dodge timings, and stay patient. Once you land the final blow, Death drops the Vampire Killer in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.
