The Clock Tower is packed with traps, moving machinery, and five powerful Relics. If you want to boost your damage, level up faster, or speed through rooms, tracking these down is worth the trip. Some are tucked behind puzzle switches, while others need specific mobility skills like the Smash ability or the Whip.

Sinister Rune

This item lets Rose deal 40% bonus damage on hits against full-health targets in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

Head into the Eastern Access Shaft of the Clock Tower. Work your way up the vertical room until you see a mechanical fist slamming down onto a switch next to a pair of spinning platforms. You need both platforms sitting flat and horizontal.

Set them in position, take a step back, and hop onto the upper platform to keep ascending. Slide under the wall opening to dodge another punching trap. Once you enter the chamber above, clear out the enemies crawling around the machinery and open the chest.

Phantom Ring

Wearing this causes normal enemies to respawn the moment you exit an area, without needing to rest at a save point.

Make your way over to the Western Ascent. You cannot get this chest on your first visit; you must come back after you unlock the Smash skill.

Search for the platform puzzle area where the floor buttons have no automatic fists hitting them. Walk up to these switches and use your Smash directly on them. Doing this turns the ledges, creating a clear staircase you can jump across to reach the chest.

This is one of the best items to equip if you want to farm materials or XP without running back and forth to save rooms.

Moonlit Shard

This shard lets you earn 20% more XP from kills whenever Rose is sitting at 100% health in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

Look for this piece in the Path of the Builder, right along the route leading toward the elevator for the Builder boss fight. Right before that lift, check the chamber with a slamming fist that guards a tight gap going up and to the right.

Wait for the hazard to reset, then jump through the opening. Once you make that jump, simply head up and hug the left path. The route is wide open, and the chest will be sitting right in front of you.

Vile Trinket

With this equipped, Rose lands 25% extra damage whenever you hit enemies from behind in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

Travel to Daedalus Crossing. Before you walk through the right-side exit toward the Upper Gallery, stop and look directly above the doorway.

You will spot a large mechanical gear above the frame. Hit this cog several times with your weapon. A hidden door will slide open on the left wall. Step inside, kill the monsters waiting for you, and climb up into the ceiling beams to loot the item.

Hollow Bone

Hooking a grapple point with your whip grants a 35% movement speed buff for five seconds in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

You can also find this in Daedalus Crossing, down by the Steps of Time. Find the glowing orb that slows down time and hit it with a basic strike.

As soon as the effect kicks in, sprint to your left and ride the nearby lift down one level. Step off and keep running left through the corridor. The time-stop gives you a wide opening to run right underneath the slowed fists without taking a hit. Push through to the far end to open the chest.

FAQ

Q. Can I collect every Clock Tower Relic on my first playthrough of the area?

A. No. You have to skip the Phantom Ring initially because it requires the Smash ability to trigger the ground switches. You will have to backtrack to the Western Ascent later once you unlock it.

Q. Does the Moonlit Shard XP bonus stack if I get hit during combat?

A. No. The extra XP only counts if Rose is at full health when the enemy actually dies. If you take chip damage during a fight, heal back to full before landing the final blow to get the bonus.
