Alucard’s Sword and Shield is among the best weapon sets in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. You'll have to reach Alucard's Tower located in the upper right-hand section of the Main Hall, just above the entrance to the Library, to be able to unlock it.

Getting into the tower requires solid platforming, specific traversal upgrades, and clearing a multi-step flame seal.

Essential Prerequisites

Before setting off, make sure you have the Double Jump ability unlocked. You earn this movement upgrade by defeating Death in Notre Dame. Several wide gaps along the route cannot be cleared without it. You also need the Arcane Whip to latch onto grapple hooks.

Navigating to Alucard's Tower

Start by traveling to the Mirror of Life in the Entrance Corridor. Look for a nearby wall painting and strike it with your whip to open the way up toward a glowing red doorway in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

Head through, and cross your way toward the matching glowing red door in the Grand Hall. This route demands precise jumping and features a puzzle room where hitting wall switches builds a walkable path forward.

Step through the red door in the Grand Hall, climb upward, and look for a portrait of Alucard holding a raised sword. Position yourself beneath it, jump up, and use your whip to grapple onto the overhead hook. Swing across to reach the direct pathway into Alucard's Tower.

Extinguishing the Five Blue Flames

Once inside the tower, you will discover that the upper level remains sealed behind five magical blue flames scattered along the access route. You have to locate and smash each flame before the upper chamber becomes accessible.

Four of the flames sit in plain view along the main route leading up to the tower. The fifth flame hides at the very bottom of the chasm in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

To get it, head toward the Bridge of Knowledge, drop off the ledge, and use your Double Jump to control your descent. From there, hook your Arcane Whip into the grapple points below to swing directly into the bottom flame and break it.

Claiming the Weapon Set

With all five blue flames destroyed, climb back to the highest floor of Alucard's Tower. Go to the stone shrine and use it to activate the final set of rising platforms.

Jump across these newly raised ledges to reach the far wall, where you can take down the legendary Alucard's Sword and Shield in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.
