The Library has 4 powerful Relics that make spellcasting and staying alive a lot easier. Picking these up gives Rose a serious edge, whether it’s extra mana sustain, damage reduction in a pinch or health recovery when trading blows.

Midnight Tear

This relic grants extra damage reduction as your mana pool empties, cutting incoming damage by up to 50% when you run completely dry on mana in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

Make your way to the Rhetoric Shelves inside the Library. Search the area for the large planetary sphere showing the Man constellation. Interact with it and solve the Star Chart puzzle tied to the display.

Once you trigger the right set of glyphs, step onto the giant glowing glyph to launch Rose up toward the ceiling. Work your way through the upper chamber puzzle above, and you will find the chest waiting at the end.

Revenant's Shard

Equipping this restores 10% more mana every time you finish off a foe in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

Head over to the Curiosity Cabinet. Look for a room that features two stacked floors that can be broken using your Smash ability. Break straight down through both layers, run down the left hallway, and hit the pressure switch.

Timed gates will start ticking, so do not stop to fight any monsters here. Sprint across to the opposite end before the passage seals shut to claim your prize.

Wraith's Tear

Whenever an enemy damages Rose, landing a counterhit on that same enemy restores 7% of your max health. The heal triggers once per hit taken, resetting each time that target damages you again.

You can find this inside the Study Room. Walk in and look for the planetary sphere marked with the Skeleton constellation.

Look slightly up and to the left of the sphere to spot a grapple ring. Use your whip to latch onto the anchor and pull yourself up through the break in the ceiling.

Carefully clear the short platforming section lined with glyphs and floor spikes, then loot the chest and flip the nearby shortcut switch.

Lich's Mark

If you cast a second spell within 1.5 seconds of your previous cast, its mana cost drops by 40% in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

This one is also hidden inside the Rhetoric Shelves. Walk over to the right wall of the chamber and strike it to smash open a concealed passage.

Step inside and use the glowing wall glyphs to start climbing upward. Hug the left side of the shaft as you ascend so you do not hit the spike traps overhead. Pull yourself up onto the top platform to grab the chest.

FAQ

Q. Can I get the Revenant's Shard without the Smash ability?

A. No. The floor plates in the Curiosity Cabinet require the heavy downward force of Smash to crack open. If you do not have that skill yet, leave a map pin and return later.

Q. Does the Wraith's Tear heal work against bosses?

A. Yes. Bosses count as valid targets. Every time a boss lands an attack on you, your next hit against them will give you 7% of your health back. Multiple hits won't stack the heal, so you have to take another hit before you can trigger the recovery again.
