Playdead and Shadow of the Colossus Creators Sign Publishing Deal with Epic Games

Not only did Remedy Entertainment sign a publishing deal with Epic Games, but LIMBO and Shadow of the Colossus developer studios have as well.

As mentioned in the Epic Games video, the developers will have 100% rights to their IPs. Which is huge as publishers usually own the rights to the game they're funding. In addition, 50% of all profits made by the games will be given to the developers while Epic fully-funds the game. Again, wow.

Currently, Remedy Entertainment has 2 next-generation games in development through Epic Games. genDesign mentioned 1 project. To clarify, Team Ico developed Ico and Shadow of the Colossus but The Last Guardian was moved to genDesign during its decade long development period. Hopefully, their next game won't take as long.
