The Pokémon Company has officially announced a brand-new event for Pokémon Pokopia, available for a limited time. This gives gamers another reason to come back to the game post-update, as it’ll be quite a while until the summer DLC launches. The event is titled “Wishing Upon a Jirachi” and centers around the beloved Wish Pokémon. Players will be able to win special activities, collectibles, and themed decorations.
The event will run from June 23 to July 8, but professionals in training will have just over two weeks to enjoy it. As Sableye and Hoppip have had themed events, this event will feature its own special event currency and rewards obtainable only during its brief run.

According to The Pokémon Company, Jirachi is looking for recipes for extraordinary objects called Wish Notes.
Players will need to work together with other Pokémon to convert normal Wish Notes into Sparkling Wish Notes, which appears to be the most crucial item to obtain for the event.
The detailed regulations have not yet been finalized, but the advertising materials suggest that crafting will be somewhat relevant. Screenshots revealed with the announcement hint that players will need to team up with their Pokémon pals and use crafting stations to change Wish Notes into glowing versions of themselves before they can be traded in for rewards.
Once users have enough left, they will be able to trade Sparkling Wish Notes directly with Jirachi at the Pokémon Center. Trainers can exchange lots of decorative items and furniture based on their wishes, stars, and dreamy nighttime skies. One of the new screenshots appears to show the entire set of furniture associated with the event.
The image depicts a Jirachi and a Ditto player character in a warm, fully furnished bedroom, surrounded by event goodies. You can see a themed bed, a closet, a decorative rug, a clock, wall art, a lamp, and a cute adornment resembling a cannon. Based on wishes and starlight, the entire collection offers a serene environment that aligns with Jirachi’s iconic role as the Wish Pokémon.
The furniture set appears to be designed to let players transform an entire room into a space-themed hideaway.
It’s one of the more visually fascinating event reward sets the game has seen thus far. Another promotional image offers a sneak peek at the Pokémon Center's design, available only at the event. As in previous events, the Pokémon Center adjusts its appearance to match the Pokémon being showcased. The building is adorned with crescent moons and stars for the Jirachi event, giving it a wonderful evening appearance that fits the wish-themed concept.
During the event, you will also be able to meet Jirachi at this freshly erected Pokémon Center. The news also serves as a warning to players that they need a fully functional Pokémon Center in their town to fully enjoy the celebrations. If you’re a new player, make sure to finish construction by June 23 to be able to obtain all the event activities and rewards.

The last screenshot gives the clearest idea yet of what the event's primary gameplay loop might look like. A Ditto player character stands next to a crafting bench with Jirachi and Hoothoot. Looks like a normal Wish Note is turning into a Sparkling Wish Note. While The Pokémon Company hasn't officially announced what to do, the graphic suggests that players may need support from companion Pokémon when using crafting tools to upgrade resources. It is not yet clear whether this entails accumulating resources, completing work, or fulfilling requests.
There’s a lot of mystery at this point about how the event will work. The Pokémon Pokopia community is already quite enthused about the distinctive furnishings, themed locations, and maybe one-of-a-kind crafting mechanism in the game. Plus, we have the summer DLC for this game coming soon, so players will have plenty of reasons to log in when the “Wishing Upon a Jirachi” event kicks off on June 23.
