Shift Coming September
News by Craig Bryan on Mar 25, 2009
On September 22 Need for Speed fans will be playing the newest version of the franchise, Shift. Need for Speed Shift will be coming to the PS3, PSP, 360, and PC. The game is coming to us by the publisher Electronic Arts, while being developed by Slightly Mad Studios. EA’s Bright Light Studios will be in charge of coming up with the PSP version, but it should be here on the same date as the console and PC versions.
Shift is taking the same road as Pro Street, in a sense that it will be focused on the racing aspects of the game, instead of the illegal street racing formula. There will be no free roam so forget touring the cities unless you are in a race. However this game will offer more customization options and outstanding graphics. The development team is focusing on the in-car camera which will show everything going on in the car. From hands moving on the steering wheel to the driver changing gears, you will see it all.
As for cars you are in luck! This game will feature more cars then any of the past games in the Need for Speed franchise. You have Nissans, Audis, Porsches. You name it; it is probably in this game. It appears out of the PC, 360, and PS3 versions, all play equally well. If you are a Need for Speed fan, or just love playing racers, keep an eye out for updates on Need for Speed Shift.
