God of War television series coming soon?

Sony has a healthy selection of exclusives such as God of War, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Ratchet and Clank, and Horizon Zero Dawn. Now, Sony is looking to adapt their games into shows by launching PlayStation Productions.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new studio is set to be head by Asad Qizilbash, Vice President of Marketing, Exclusive Games at SIE, and will be based in the Sony Pictures lot in Culver City. Qizilbash spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about producing these projects in house.
“Instead of licensing our IP out to studios, we felt the better approach was for us to develop and produce for ourselves,” says Qizilbash. “One, because we’re more familiar, but also because we know what the PlayStation community loves.”
Sony has been focusing on internalizing development, placing more focus on first-party games developed within Sony. However, this news did come out of nowhere. Maybe a television show based on Days Gone could be coming soon.
