Sony To Lose Activision?

Activision – the industries biggest third-party video game publisher – says it may cease supporting Sony’s consoles. This comes from a recent interview with Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision.

He stated that it’s getting harder and harder to support the console due to recent figures of software sales and the basic costs to develop games for it.

If Activision did indeed pull the plug then it would mean titles such as Tony Hawk’s, Call of Duty, Guitar Hero and Quake would no longer be released for the system.

A spokesperson for Sony has hit back, claiming that the PlayStation 3 has never looked stronger after a successful E3. It has been heavily rumoured that Activision are simply trying to force Sony into reducing the costs of their machine.
