Steam Sale Does Exclusives

So, here’s an odd tidbit of news for ye that can’t get enough of our daily Steam sale ramblings. Apparently, there are some items in Steam’s Prize Booth that aren’t available anywhere else at the time.

We received news from Jay Margalus from Lunar Giant Studios, the makers of excellent Delve Deeper, whom said that their DLC is currently only available in the booth. You can win these prizes by unlocking special achievements in the games listed every day as camp activities. The Delve Deeper DLC Treasures and Tunnels will however become available a little later this month. But you can get it earlier (and free) if you participate in the activities. It features a bunch of new maps and relics, so I suggest you hop on it.

Additionally, I’ll share some insight on the special achievements I unlocked; as a game guide of sorts. Magicka’s “Swedish Summer” can easily be achieved simply by adding a controller and playing against a ghost opponent. By  only allowing spell drops with the Rain Magick, you can swiftly get 20 Rains in a match and unlock the achievement.

In Garshasp: The Monster Slayer, the goal is to push the raft forward slightly with the interact button and when enemies drop, only press the interact button to throw them in the water. There are only 8 or 9 enemies on the first section, so no worries if you don’t unlock the achievement at the gate. Simply go through the motions to open the game and repeat the process. You should unlock the achievement “Cool’em in Summer” fairly early in section 2. I restarted the game in its entirety for this and reached it in about 2 hours; food for thought.

 

Hoard will make you go 'RAWR'.

 

In Hoard, the goal is to let knights rescue princesses and take them to the castle. That way, fireworks come out of their keep when the maidens are rescued. The last Hoard map is a good choice, but be warned that this is still a hard cookie to crack. Princesses also restore health in Hoard mode, so take one or two, but be sure enough are rescued.
